Elation, joy, confidence.. that's what Tayuu was feeling. He had indeed chosen the right Amon, but his hit was not a connect. Amon had turned at the last possible millisecond catching the young pupil's knife by the hilt, preventing it from hitting flesh. With barely a thought he used his telekenesis and sent the knife flying straight into a nearby tree. He brushed off his hands and walked over to the feline.
"Commendable, that was almost impressive, had the attack not been a predictable one.. your better option would have been to throw the knife at a moment where it would pass by me, stopping me long enough for you move in for a close quarters attack. But you're improving.. and that is the aim of these lessons."
The solemn hedgehog turned his back once more to his pupil. Tilting his head down with eyes closed. Standing perfectly still, he telepathically sent a further instruction to Tayuu.
"Now, try attacking me again.. and this time.. pay attention to more than just me.."
A confusing message, most would think. But in the context of their given situation, Amon hoped that Tayuu would pick up on the subtle nuance and undertone of the instruction, improving his instinctual response that much further.

Paladin looked out at the pirate, forelorn and lost in thought in possibly having lost another associate to the gears of time. In a flurry of light momement as to not rock the boat he made his way to the prow of the boat and stood proud with his back to her, and spoke out, his voice ringing even through the fog.
"What to call me? What to call me?! Why I am the one that helped you best the Swamp's Dracolith! I am the one that took you flying off the Infernal Peaks! I am the one that ended up having to run four and a half miles straight because you wanted to see if a Yeti was ticklish! I am the one you spent the Long Dark Nights with. Company I was and forever shall be, ever greatful for. What to call me you ask woman!?
Call me Twilight, for it's only the name that has changed between the two of us!"
With a flourish, ruined only slightly by his still swampy clothing, the vanguard turned with a flick of his cloak and went into a low bow. A short hop brought him next to the pirate lass and with a grin of mischief and a pair of red eyes that could belong to no other he whishpered.
"Set sail for the Tower lass, there's Treasure to be had!"
Meanwhile; Lucian had had enough of his busy work and errand boy activities. Robotnik had gotten what he wanted and the things still creeped him right the hell out. Comendable for a set of machines but not a novelty the undeadite was willing to dwell on.
"Duro, disengage and let's get the hell out of here. I'd like to be far away from this mechanical tomb when what ever dead things it's holding are fully awake. . . ", at which point Lucian had to stop and wince at his own words. Words he'd heard echo from the mouths of Vampire Hunters millenia before, right before he'd stuck up behind them and used their entrails to decorate that particular hallway.
Walking toward the lift he got inside and noticed that Duro was not responding. His eyes were still 'blank' but nothing else was happening on the computer screens and no sound came through the grill that the dragonette had spoken through before. Instead a voice not belonging to him started to scatch noisily at the inside of his head.
It's a trap! Going to KILL YOU! Fool! KILL! Destory it, destory it ALL! Use me! Trap! KILL! Peril! Murder! Your blood wil coat their gears! KILL! Trust nothing! No one! Monster! KILL! Death! Harness my power!
At first the murderous intent was overwhelming. But being a monster himself and rather akin to such bloodthirsty instincts, as emotions could never sully themselves with blatantly heinous feelings they slowly died down and the bloodsucker almost got the feeling that towards the end the voice was disapointed. As if it had thought it was in the hands of some one it could corrupt. Not knowing there were few more morally rusted than the one it was speaking to. An itch between his shoulders reminded him that he had something that might be sending these unusually familar messages. Pulling out the shard from his belt underneath his cape he held it in a gloved hand.
"Aw, is the half assed sentient shard of power from a fallen god of darkness disapointed. That's so sad! Tell you what little guy, when I get out of here, I've got plans for your attempted body snatching self!"
Tucking the gem shard back where it was, careful at to not let it touch his skin, the vampire turned his attention back to his still immobile associate, and just when he was about to yell at him to get in here or he'd do something nasty to his tail the blaring alarm sounded right above his head drowning out any more thoughts about anything for a momement.
"INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT! UNREGISTERED BIOLOGIC FOUND IN 600 FLOOR, HORSEMEN NERVE CENTER! ACTIVATING SECURTITY PROTOCOLS. TERMINATING WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE!"
The undeadite's jaw dropped, he'd been tricked again. Smacking his face as he noticed all kinds of machinery turning on, most of it probably harmful to even his undead fleash he could only slunk his shoulders a bit, his arms drooping as he stared at the floor, growling, "ALWAYS the bloody hard way!"

A bright smile washes away any doubt and worry from the pirate lass' face and she steps a tiny bit forward until they two bodies are so close that they are almost touching, there is a mischievous glint in her blue eyes as she raises her hands and envelops Twilight into a huge and tight hug. She backs away and chuckles lightly, "who would hever e'er guessed that yetis are incredibly ticklish on their necks?!"
With that she turns around, the boat veering slightly to port as the direction is given to head towards the tall and dark tower in the distance. "To treasure! To adventure! and to you, Twilight" She looks over her shoulder and winks at the vangaurd, a light in her eyes that had not been there for many a year, ever since he had left the lands of the dead and left her to sail the seas of adventure by herself.
___
Her story was still not fully believed by the two sitting across from her at the table in the small little cafe. The meals were eaten and they were on their second round of drinks, the feline smiling at her old friend and then to her new acquaintance. She had left out many things, there were just some things that people did not need to know, such as the world had almost been close to being destroyed and under a reign of terror that could barely be fathomed... but she explained about her travels and meeting Amon and also becoming more in tune to certain energies. It explained much to herself and also to those who knew her well, as there was always a piece of her that was untapped but that could be seen in her eyes.
"This energy... can you show us?" Says the young pup, excitement in his eyes.
CC grins and winks at her little friend, "Sure, but you must lean in close because not everyone should see and really, all that I will do is a small little orb of energy, there are many around here who are not as...appreciative of anything that would be conceived as different. "
All three lean in so that their bodies are blocking anyone who may be glancing over to the table that they sit and and CC do es a quick check around before putting her hands just over the table, facing up and concentrating her energies so that a small emerald green ball of swirling energy appears above her palms. She lets it dissipate smoothly, the faces on her two friends showing shock and a touch of fear as well as wonder and she sits back, smiling slightly as they take a moment to compose themselves.
___
Energy. It wanted it, it could sense it and feel it- for a sight moment there was a burst of it close by and it shudderred with the anticipation of the next kill, this one would be tasty indeed, he could smell its scent on the wind, its particular brand of primal energy that it tried to keep hidden and was hidden from most, but it could not hide it from the creature. No.
It skitterred quickly through the streets, not caring now if it was seen, for it was hungry and its prey was close by. People screamed and panicked, seeing the large deformed spider appear from an alley in front of them, alerting those within the cafe to something going on outside. Dishes were dropped and coffee spilt, CC looked up quickly, her sharp eyes immediately connecting and locking with the eerie green eyes of the creature. It turns its large body in her directing and begins skittering madly across the pavement to the cafe where it sits, having found the prey that it wanted and not paying attention to anything else but the black-furred feline.
CC stands up quickly and glances quickly towards the two at her table who are busy staring out the window, "Run! Both of you! Get as far away from here as you possibly can!" She yells before charging up a small ball of energy and blasting it through the window, shattering glass in a circle large enough for her to jump through.

After some memories long forgoten the pair reached the Tower of Thanatos. An impressive structure, and the only thing that looked as if it was man made in all of the Zone Between Zones that looked current. True, there were huts in the Undeadite Village, and certainly carved out caves of ice and stone in the Tundras and the Mountains, but this was the only home that appeared to have some sort of sophisitcation to it. Gray in coloration, true to the deizen that opperated from it's very top floor, it rose a towering 50 stories up into the green sky. Each large floor seperated by a slight bulge until you reached the domed top. Giving it very much the likeness of a giant spine, standing errect in the organge soil plain surrounding the base of the tower.
Twilight stared longingly at the top of the Tower, and with more than a little anger in his soul. He could have been done by now, he could be back doing his duty as a Vanguard, his Father understood all this, and wasn't letting go. But then after all, Death isn't used to letting go of anything. Walking around the outside of the Tower, they could find no entrance. Only a plaque that appeared to as old as Time. It read the following.
"I am feared by all, but welcomed by many. I am light as a feather but can crush the mightest of men. I am known to all that breaths, and I know no bias. What am I?"
Paladin Twilight sneered, a bit of the old poem wasn't true anymore. He was not feared by "all" anymore. Science and Magic have both progressed where one could stave him off for centuries. Taking out his staff and tracing a door around the plaque he answered, "you are Death, and I will enter your house.". Just as he answered the doorway fell in with a loud slam. The echo of the crush ringing off into the darkness of the Tower with in.
"It would appear that Father would remind us of who he is before entering his House, let's proceed with caution. Things hide in the Darkness I'd rather not entertain with out any power. . ."
Keeping out his staff and stepping inside, a small orb of light ignited at the end of the weapon. Even stripped of his essence, not even Death can deny a Vanguard his own inner light. No matter where they tread, it was in the job description after all.
Meanwhile; things were getting nice and interesting for Lucian as well. Having had enough of the alarms, and not liking the size of the guns pointing his way, the monster went into a roll beneath them before the frist volley started. Now he stode in front of the tubes holding the creatures as well as Duro.
"Yes, by all means, fire now. Blow out your own brains while you're at it and destroy the thing the good doctor told you to protect. I'm sure once he's done melting you down you'll be a very lovely egg shaped paper weight!"
Nibble fingers disconnected the wired connections between Duro and the Machine. The alert signals wavered as it's core source of information as changed back from an exterior source to an internal one. Holding the little creature up by the neck as it rebooted back into it's own body only visceral hate could be seen on the vampires face as he backed slowly away from machine and told toward the elevator.
"Conflict of intrest: damaging Duro to remove unwanted biologic unacceptable. Shutting security protocols down, sealing off 600 floor, Horsemen Nerve Center."
A pair of thick metal shuttered began to close on the eleveator portal. Far too thick for Lucian to punch his way through. Dashing in, with just a little bit more haste than he intended, the shutters closed with the Vampire inside. Tapping the button to return to the surface vigorously and nothing happening, Durro finally awoke.
"Statement: That was foolish Lucian, disconnecting me while deeply rooted in the Horsemen Nerve Center could have crashed my main protocols and erased my drive. Sqweeak! Effectively casuing Master Ivo to erase YOU while he was rebuilding ME!"
"This can be dicussed later, but as I have no intention of being fired upon or sealed in this metalic tomb I'm taking you and getting the hell out of here!"
Durro took stock of the situation and the backloged memory. The security system had triggered with Lucian just standing there talking to a piece of stone he found in the Eye of the Prophet? And why was the base sealing? This wasn't in any of his mission parameters? Something was wrong, especially with Lucian, he looked like a caged animal. He had made minor comments to having lived a long time, but most of it being spent imprisioned inside a Robian. Perhaps the notion of being sealed in metal, away from the world and his prey was more than the undeadite could stand?
Not having time to ponder this further, Duro was placed on the vampires back as he reached up and tore off the ventilation grate with a clawed hand. Up they shot into the poorly light eleveator shaft. Just as Lucian thought, more shutters sealing off the levels. Jumping like a monster only can he reached a ledge and kicked off, again and again, rising heigher toward the surface and sollace. Barely making it by another shutter as he reached the 100 level. But the doorway out was sealed as the elevator room it's self was still at the bottom. Summoning up a bit of power, and drawing a seal of blood on the door, it glowed green for but a moment and then started to hiss, as if the metal was being consumed rapidly by acid.
Slegging off in a bubbling pile, Lucian lept through into the main room just as the last shuttered closed. No more doors between him and the open air, just calm night sky and cool evening air. Huffing and puffing air he didn't need it was the first and probably last time Durro would ever see the vampire even remotely look relieved. Stocking off toward their shuttle and their only source of communication with the Good Doctor, Lucian had half a mind to bail. But he wanted answers, and was hungry.

Although Tayuu couldn't send a telepathic message back, he clearly thought; ‘Man, it still freaks me out when you do that.’ The cat felt a little different, he was rarely commended for his skills except when in thanks from a client for stealing difficult to get hold of treasures. Amon’s current actions reminded Tayuu of his old master but he was now too involved in his challenge to give it much more thought. He actually seemed to know be enjoying himself now.
A plan had instantly formed in the catboy’s mind and he glanced at Amon’s feet before reaching into his tunic. As he did this, he was still keeping his senses open in case Amon’s clone or anything tried sneaking up behind him. Tayuu once again ran in a direct line towards Amon but this time had a knife in each hand, at the last possible moment he jumped and threw each of them to either side of Amon. His jump was timed to ‘land’ as the daggers hit the earth. This meant Amon couldn’t really side step to avoid the heel kick to the top of his head. There was of course a chance the hedgehog would block, step backwards, or simply teleport, but he was ready to grab yet another of his hidden knives or to deliver a punch or kick. Tayuu realized he was now thinking ahead so much more than he ever had, he was ready to pick up any misses and instantly try again. Hell, he knew he had the responses and speed for it. If he got attacked back, he was ready to counter with at least some sort of return… this was fun.

The knives hit the ground with a resounding 'clunk'. Amon smirked as the brash young apprentice landed at the exact same moment. But what started as a smirk quickly turned back to the familliar blank and expressionless look of the templar. Tayuu's foot passed cleanly through Amon's body, surely sending a quick moment of confusion through the cat's mind. A second Amon came in from the right striking out with a punch. But as Tayuu would soon notice, this Amon too was only an illusion.
A third avatar came at Tayuu from the front, and a fourth from the left. Soon a myriad of false Amon avatars were assaulting the concentration of the apprentice. With each Amon that struck and faded away, the real moment of truth drew closer. In fact, the real Amon had teleported into a nearby tree just after delivering his last instructions and was now watching from afar, reading the thoughts and actions of his fighting pupil. He waited for his moment and lunged out alongside a pair of avatars. This was the defining moment of the lesson.. if Tayuu had been paying attention, he would catch and repel the real Amon's strike. If not, the feline was in for one rather potent headache.

After sailing through the first illusion, Tayuu’s initial reaction was one of confusion and a sudden realisation that he had be duped and was now open to an attack. How was this not the real Amon? When had he substituted for an illusion? However, Tayuu had been ready, and even though his footing was different now from planned, he was able to quickly turn and move his arm up to block the second Amon’s punch. When the punch went through his guard and caused no damage, he realized what was no doubt going to happen… a test, a set-up. More Amon’s appeared… While still moving to dodge or block just in case, Tayuu was focusing like before but with his eyes open this time. He continued blocking the thin-air until the seemingly last set of Amon’s appeared. As the first bunch attacked, Tayuu only took a stance to ready himself. They didn’t seem right, they didn’t ‘feel’ right, he knew he was safe, and he was glad he was right as they faded a moment after their simulated attacks. The final three appeared before him, but this time something felt different to him, just as before. Tayuu quickly blinked, had he seen a slight smirk on one compared to the several blank expressions he had just been fighting against? One certainly seemed different somehow, even if they did look identical. Knives in hand, Tayuu threw them sharply at the two hedgehogs he believed to be fake. Instantly rewarded with knowledge as the blades passed through them, he was able to ignore them and make his move. The dust on the ground swirled for a moment as Tayuu used his left hand to capture Amon’s lunging fist. It was solid! He did it! The other Amon’s faded as their attacks past through the catboy, leaving the student and the teacher. Their eyes met and a smile of success spread across Tayuu’s face, his grip tight. The cat was about to let out a quip but quickly realized that since he had Amon’s right fist in his grasp, now was the time to deliver a blow. Tayuu raised his own right hand into a fist to bring down onto Amon’s head… even if it did hit, he wasn’t really putting in that much force… just in case.

The ringing from the door slamming shut had not quite finished its eerie echo throughout the main hall of the tower and there is a feeling of emptiness here, the orb of light upon the top of Twilight's staff being the only true light in the area. Everything remains muffled and dark though, as if coverred by an eternal shadow, and not even the orb of light can bring any warmth to this place. Even though she had been for far too long within this area, the tower still left the lass feeling uncomfortable and empty inside. This does not stop her from showinf false bravado though as she smirks and quietly draws her blade, holding the fine swept hilt expertly with one finger draped over the quillions for better control. She is in a relaxed position but the tip is held at an angle that shows she is ready for anything that they may come across. "Ye'll have no need of power when with me, this blade has swept through a variety of bodies alive and dead and has been as true of a companion to me as any. Besides, if that fails..." There is a rather audible click of an old, wood-handled flint-lock pistol being cocked and the smirk on the woman's face turns into a full-fledged grin, "if that fails us we always have this and our wits!"
She winks and steps quietly through the halls, taking a moment to get used to solid ground beneath her feet but soon she is gliding along smoothly like a fish swimming through the sea, except fish do not normally wear knee-high leather cavalier boots. Following the Vangaurd, keeping just half a pace behind him, the pirate looks everywhere but directly at the light, training her eyes to be able to see a bit better into the shadows around, keeping a wary eye open in case of attack.
___
CC leaps out of the window of the small cafe and tucks immediately into a roll, landing softly and coming to her feet in a maneuver that is well-practiced and done with easse. Around her mobians are fleeing in every which direction, the monstrous creature paying them no heed as it sets its eerie green sights fully on the feline. "Everyone, get out of the area as fast as you can! Just keep running!" She manages to yell out before the deformed spider rushes towards her, causing her to have to jump out of the way lest she be pierced by the very pointy fang-type apendages that she can tell are just dripping with a highly dangerous poison. If it was like any other spider she knew, it would not be enough to kill her, in fact, it would not kill her at all... it would just make her entire body go numb so that the spider could keep its prey alive and warm while it ate it. CC had no intention of letting that happen.
Her first thought ran to the shadow creatures summoned forth by Syntaru and his forces of evil, but this one differred far too much. It was larger and more grotesque, mishapen in a way different from the shadow-stunted beings thrown at the warriors before. It had cruel spikes like fishhooks on every one of its eight legs but what set it apart the most was its green eyes that stank of an energy from a place far away from here, from a different zone entirely. She had no clue where this thing had come from, but she was not about to let it have its way in her city!
Facing her oponent once more she charges up another ball of energy, slightly larger than the last and releases it towards her oponent with a small yell, not her strongest attack but certainly one that would incapacitate any normal creature. Skittering quickly the spider dodges, the energy catching only one of its legs, causing it to singe and burn but otherwise do not major damage. CC growls and jumps again as one of those spiked legs comes hurtling towards her.
___
In the distance, the shadows hold a creature of the darkness, Kitsa continuing her duties towards her beloved shadow Queen. She had been watching the training session for a while now, watching even as the psionic teleported himself into the tree long enough to watch his student's moves. Pitiful really, that student, he would have been destroyed long ago for his poor tactics, a worthless creature truly. He did have potential, much more than the rest of the meat on this world, but he was nothing compared to the shadow forces... though, there was something within him. An affinity to the shadows perhaps, he would have to be watched, especially if he was to stay with the psionic for a long period of time.
He had not noticed her yet, which was good, for it had given her much opportunity to learn more about him and his powers, though he only played lightly with the young fool she knew that he contained far greater power than what he let on to the youngling. She stayed quiet within the shadows and continued watching, ensuring to get a good idea of his tactics and abilities before moving on to find the other warriors.

Once inside the tower, far enough to commit the pair to their mission, the stone doorway started to rise with a stone grinding noise. Dashing back to the entryway but not quite making it the smooth edges fit back together with each other, and once the dust settled you could hardly tell there was a door there to begin with. One by one green flamed torches lit across the hall filling the world with an unearthly light. Extinguising his own light, Paladin Twilight carefully stepped back toward the pirate.
"T'would seem we are expected and more so expected to make it to the top with out going back. Let's make our way toward the lifts on the far side of the base floor here. I don't know about you but I'm not keen on walking up 50 floors of spiral stairs. . ."
A short walk later showed three circular stone disks on the ground, each bearing the insignia of Thanatos and three holes in the ceiling far, far up of similar shape. Standing on the middle one, the two rose up with out a sound, eeirly rising toward the blackness above. The first floor exploded into a light like the first and a thick jungle filled their eyes. Thanatos' Attrium, the place were all the extinct creatures dwell before going on to be reborn into a new life form. Tapping his foot the lift rose again.
The next floor was already lit when the pair got there, and for good reason, creatures in all kinds of states of undeath were milling about, this being the Residential Level. All the workers that toiled for Thanatos, collecting souls across the realms or keeping the Land of the Dead in Order were housed here. Walking skeletons mixed with will-o-wisps flitting about the many roomed hallway paid no heed to the pair. Fleshed ones were generally beneath the notice of of the Skeleton Crew, being the brute force labor of the Realm. Another shoe tap, this time by the pirate, catching on to how the lift worked, made the pair rise up once more.
This room remained dark, and once more they were still in the darkness as the sound of many pieces of metal lightly scraped against one another.
"Why this floor? Why does it have to stop on THIS floor?! Goddess damn it, get ready for a bit of fun lass, we've got company, and close your eyes for a second. Vertinuos Illuminati!"
The sound of people falling back on themselves and grunts of pain caught the pirates ears, when her eyes adjusted to the bright light now filling the room Paladin had done his light trick again but cast a much larger globe on the center of the room. They had been stopped in the armory. And there was a contingent of 30 skeletal warriors all clad in the shining black armor of the Army of Thanatos. Long pikes, scythes, and other implements of destruction all appeared well used and the bones holding them rather familar with how to best put down a rogue soul.
The vanguard wasted no time, he had no distance weapons and he'd battled the Royal Guard before. It was with a smile that Twilight launched into an over the head chop with his staff knocking the visor shut followed by a jab to the breast plate. A pair of kicks sent the prone warriror backwards into his next associate. One down 29 to go, as the ex-repeaper eagerly looked for his next target.

Amon blinked in astonishment when his fist had been caught by his plucky young apprentice. Yes, he had indeed been impressed, using his free hand he slapped away the incoming punch and released himself of the feline's grip. He patted some dust off of his gloves and then simply smirked at Tayuu.
" Excellent work.. most impressive indeed. You have been paying attention. Which brings today's lesson to a-"
Amon suddenly stopped in mid-sentence. Something had perked his telepathic radar. There was a disturbance in the world, something was not right. It was not, however, the same feelings he got when battling the creatures of Syntaru's creation. No.. this disturbance had a feeling he'd long repressed. Every bone in his body wished that his instincts were wrong, but sadly they were not. A rift into the Zone of Silence had been opened, and from the horrific prison a creature had emerged. One Amon was all too familiar with, if Amon hadn't been in a state of suspended animation he would have fallen victim to this creature and its whims.
But now, that creature was here on Mobius, it had escaped.. this was the danger he had forseen. This was the moment he had talked with Ci Ci about. This was their task, this was the disturbance that would either make them heroes.. or outcasts. He quickly closed his eyes and sent out a telepathic message to his feline love.
"Dearest, we have a problem.. the vision we discussed.. it has come to pass.. the creature of horrific proportions has made its way into our world.. and it is now on the path to Casinopolis, meet me at the intersection of Sparkle and Gravenhurst.. I'll be bringing someone along with me to help us.. see you soon.. my love."[/i]
He opened his eyes once more and turned to his young apprentice. He inhaled a deep sighed breath and then spoke.
"Tayuu, it seems this lesson was completed just in time.. we have a grave task ahead of us, I will give you details on the way, we must quickly return to the city.. the survival of its inhabitants depends on us.."
He reached out grabbing Tayuu by the arm and teleported the two to the rondez-vous location he'd given to Ci Ci in his message. It seems once again, that heroism would be asked of this simple Templar.

"Now this be more like it!" The pirate calls out, cheer in her musical voice as she bashes a skeleton gaurd in the head with the hilt of her fine rapier. A dent forms in the skull and it cracks a bit, causing the wench to frown a bit as it swings madly at her with a nasty-looking heavy blade which she dodges easily. She hits it again, putting all of her force into it and the skull crumbles, making the undead creature fall to the ground, a pile of old bones. "But my rapier is no weapon for these things, arrr, I be needin' something more heafty... thank you" She says to her opponent as she returns her blade to its scabbard, then taking the large and heavy sword that it had dropped.
She turns just as another gaurd stabs at her with a pike, catching the sleeve of her shirt and ripping a hole in it. "My shirt!" She exclaims, stabbing back a bit clumsily with the larger sword, still trying to get used to the weight of it but managing to knock of few chips off of the bone of the skeleton's leg. "Did ye know that I received this from Baron of Talangaurd whose is renowned throughout all of the knowne worlds?!" She cries out as she hacks and slashes as best she can, still being a bit silly even though she is slowly being surrounded by the undead Gaurd.
____
The telepathic message sounds in CC's head just as she dodges another poisonous blow, ending up just underneath the large spider. She blasts up with al of her might, sending it into the air long enough for her to escape out from under it, but instead of hurting the creature it only stands to enrage it further.
Amon, hun, I think you have miscalculated! Get your handsome arse to me NOW! The feline thinks in reply, sure that he would be listening in on her thoughts if he was not too entirely distracted by something else. It was strange for him to be wrong about something, especially when it seemed to concern her, so something had to be either interfering with his mind or perhaps he was just wrong.
She did not want to think of that though and now was hardly the time or place, the abomination rushing steadily towards her once more.
(sorry guys, would write more but I have to run, wanted to give you something though)

Tayuu was one of those characters that tried not to get down about things, when growing up the way he did, it was something that kept him alive. It was for this reason that Tayuu had quickly gotten over the fact that he couldn’t get even one ‘hit’ on Amon earlier. He understood that there were many individuals out there stronger than him, and that when they have even stronger powers, he himself stood very little chance if forced to fight them. In the past he’d always have to run or get help, but in this case, he was just glad this guy was ‘on his side’ to at least some extent.
Tayuu stumbled slightly after the teleportation and had to shake his head a little to stop the little funny spots appearing in the corner of his vision. The slightly queasy sensation in the pit of his stomach mercifully faded away, and it made him wonder if there was a teleport version of seasickness. He looked around at the new surroundings and recognised the intersection as a place he had past a few times.
His teacher had looked shook-up before, and he couldn’t help but enquire; “What’s happening? Are you serious? What grave task? I don’t understand.” Tayuu began to feel a little worried…

As the ovaline Doctor known as Eggman walked through the doors of his mechanics bay, he couldn't help but have a sense that something wasn't quite right. He shrugged it off and walked over to his lead mechanic who happened to be standing in front of a freshly upgraded Apophis. Eggman looked upon his beast with pride and sheer happiness, yes, never again would any harm befall his glorious beast. His pet dragon.
"So I take it the precautionary measures have been set in place and the contingency plan has been installed?"asked the Doctor.
"Yes sir, Dr. Eggman sir, the modifications, security protocols, precautionary measure and your contingency plan have all been completed as per your request. Project 2501 codename Apophis is now at level two of it's evolutionary staging. The nuclear failsafe device you requested has also been installed and can only be accessed by you.."
Eggman grinned as wide as his chubbed face would let him, the ends of his moustache stuck up in the air. Oh yes, he would have his revenge, Legion would rue the day that he crossed paths with this genius. Apophis was ready, his horsemen would soon be at full power.. Mobius hath no fury than a mad genius scorned.
Meanwhile; in the vast emptiness of the cosmos Lord Chronus, God of Time, the be all and end all of existence was reclining. Staring deep into the window that was the universe, watching the events transpiring, seeing things fall into place. He was pleased.. the comet would soon reach it's mark, the beast he'd freed from the Zone of Silence was begining his test of the mortals and Twilight, the Paladin Vanguard was on his way home.. everything moving exactly as planned. As if there was any doubt..
Here with him in this emptiness was the Goddess.. unapproving of her father's methods, but helpless to affect any real change. After all, one cannot stop the driving force of the Universe from doing as it wills.. it would bring about the end of all existence. She knew that for her wish to come true, much suffering and destruction would need to happen.. sad as it was, this was the only way and she could only wait for her time to arrive. Counting away the days until her rebirth...
