Kenetic Energy - Described as any form of energy exerted from or created by the body. In this world, this is what abilities like Energy Orbs and such are a part of, the abilities of elemental control are also going to be grouped in this categorey, since these types of skills are usually focused throuigh the body as opposed to the mind.
Kenetic Energy Subcategories
*Pyrokenesis/Pyrokenetics - The ability to manipulate and control fire with the body and mind.
*Glacialkenesis/Glacialkenetics - The ability to manipulate and control ice with the body and mind.
*Aquakenesis/Aquakenetics - The ability to manipulate and control water with the body and mind.
*Terrakenesis/Terrakenetics - The ability to manipulate and control earth and rock with the body and mind.
*Aerokenesis/Aerokenetics - The ability to manipulate and control winds with the body and mind.
*Lumikenesis/Lumikenetics - The ability to manipulate and control the light with the body and mind.
*Sombreikenesis/Sombrekenetics - The ability to manipulate and control shadows and darkness with the body and mind.
*Telekenesis/Telekenetics - The ability to manipulate the mind and body with one's own mind.
*Omnikenesis/Omnikenetics - The ability to use all kenetic energies.
Psionic Energy - Described as energies and abilities forged of the mind. These include Telepathy, Teleportation, Telekenesis, Astral Projection, Levatation and so on. Though they did eminate from the mind, they are considered Kenetic and not Psionic.
Shadow Creatures - These are demons created from darkness. Shadow Creatures travel to the mortal realm, by exchanging places with an object or person's shadow.. There are four types of these beings, all under the control of Syntaru and his generals. (Syth's Shade NPC is a sentient spell, and not related.)
Shadow Beasts - They are similar in appearance to Jackals, with demonic features. Ie; protruding spikes from their knee joints, long bladed claws, sharp serated teeth and a stinger-whip like tail. They are among the most violent of Syntaru's creations, but not the most inteligent of creatures. They are blazing fast, powerfully strong and insanely ferocious and persisstant. They have the ability to become invisible, leaving only a faint black mist that trails behind them, this mist exudes off of them, and all Shadow Creatures while visibile and invisible. The key to defeating a Shadow Beast, is outsmarting it or overpowering it.
Shadow Wraiths - The flyers of the Shadow Creatures, they resemble the attitudes and appearence of Falcons, also demonized. They are the second most intelligent of the Shadow Creatures, falling only behind the Shadow Walkers. These demonic birds attack with blinding speeds, striking with fierce talons, or lifting their prey high off the ground and dropping them from the dizzying heights. Like the Beasts, they are highly aggressive, but not very persisstent, they tend to leave once they feel their prey is defeated.. which is a costly mistake in some cases. Their weakness lies in their sight, if they are blinded, even for a moment, they become useless. As well, if they are struck directly on the underbelly, they wither and die.
Shadow Harbingers - Large demonic spiders, used as scouts or gatherers. They inject a powerful nerve agent into victims they trap, causing these victims to become slaves and servants of Syntaru's evil. They are the weakest by comparisson, but hunt in swarms. Their strength is in the numbers. These are the most easily conquered Shadow Creatures.
Shadow Walkers - The most intelligent, and deadliest of the Shadow Creatures. The only bipedal creature of Syntaru's brood. Some Shadow Walkers are fallen Mobians, people trapped in the Void after a life of sin.. those Walkers change over time. A true Shadow Walker is created from Syntaru's darkness. They are engulphed in a permanent dark flame and are very powerful. THey have very few weaknesses, and the ones they do have are unique to each individual.
Shadow Queen - A living mortal infused with Syntaru's essence. During incubation her body will remain relatively the same in appearance, but she will have unfounded Shadow Powers and the same control over the Shadow Creatures as the Demon himself. Once incubation is complete, large demonic wings will sprout from her back, her tail will become devilish and whip-like. Her eyes will become pure crimson, corneas, pupils and iris alike. Elongated tallons will replace whatever nails or claws the being had before.
The Void - Essentially, the Hell of this world. The domain and prison of Syntaru, Demon God of Destruction and Darkness. Imprisoned here eons ago by his sister Goddess, Aurora. Only mortals who have lead truly evil lives wind up here. The surroundings are bleak and dismal.. the area resembles an enclosed cave with a solitary window to the realm of the living. While this window prevents dead souls and the beast himself from escaping, Syntaru's Shadow Powers allow his minions passage.
The central pillar holds the demon's throne, the whole plain is pure carbon form, perfect blackness. Below the pillar are pools of pure crimson fire and lava. Shadow Creatures roam the pits, keeping the tortured souls in line. Only a select few are elevated to the status of Shadow Walkers.
The Chaos Realm - Essentially, the Heavan of this world. Aurora's domain, and a shining paradise of immense wonder and beauty. Those who have lead pure lives, or have made great sacrifices for good wind up here. The landscape is serene and peaceful. The sky is always a calming pinkish blue, the lush trees waving in th soft breezes and soothing waters glistening from a pure white star.
Aurora spent a millenium after the birth of the Universe culling this place to her ideals, making it a perfect paradise to accomodate those souls lucky enough to be accepted. The Goddess residential 'home' is a grand palace made of white marble, there are several statues of many different forms from Mobius and the Universe. Aurora's true form is a glowing pink energy, a body of light with angellic wings. She choses to corporialize as these forms to better relate to the mortal coil.
The Zone of Silence - A temporal rift in reality. A place of suspension, beings sent here are kept in a dream-like state of consciousness, and almost always develop intense psionic powers from it. These suspensions can last decades, even centuries, only when those who gain powers hit their peak can they be freed. There are of course ways of freeing someone from here on the other side of the Zone, but the after trauma can be severe.
Others who have become trapped here over time will become much like the dead, or worse, crystaline. Much in the case of King Acorn when he was cast into this Zone. King Acorn has since, of course, been restored and sits as head and ruler of Mobotropolis.
The Zone Between Zones - Pergatory in every sense of the word. Souls who are neither truly good nor truly evil end up here, populated by the most of those souls passed. Thanatos, God of Faded Souls reigns here with his son and heir, Syth. He was forged after the long battle between Syntaru and Aurora, essentially he is the middleground. Perfect neutrality. (I'll let Syth do the environment's description.) Also known as the land of the dead it is a wide and varried land, as it sports all kinds of creatures from every walk of life every environment can be found in one form or another here. The Eternity Flow - This is the placce where those in the afterlife go when they completely die out. Their essence is all that remains. They have no physical form but there is conciousness or sentience. This is where all life began and it is how all life ends in the Multiverse. This is the preferred domain of Chronus, God of Time.
Soul Gems - By means of self sacrafice or cruel intention a once living soul can be sealed into a stone of crystaline nature. The result is, all the persons energy for eternity is accessible in short burst and increases ones power. How ever, such things come at a hefty price to the user, the body was not formed to hold more than one soul and even brief moments of unification can cause sever deterioration to the body.
Vampires - While not the traditional creatures penned in gothic romance they still exist to some extent that we've come to know them. Varied, powerful, and deadly creatures of the night that will not willingly move about during the day time hours, as they are painfully allergic. White magic vampires are masters of misdirection, illusion, and blood manipulation. Having to sustain themselves of the crimson liquid coursing through mortal veins it is not necesarily the blood it's self that is devoured by the life force that lies with in the blood.
With out this constant recharging of their undead batteries Vampires can not use their other worldy powers, become diminished, and over a long enough time fall into a deep sleep like topor. There are three known ways of killing your standard vampire.
1)Sunlight- About a full minute of direct exposure will leave a vampire a pile of smouldering dust.
2)Fire- Complete cremation is an excellent way to ensure the undead stay dead, fire eats through their regenative magics and prevents ressurection.
3)Holy Power- While light magic can damage vampires it is like any force and can be healed. However, if a person of true faith or belief uses blessed water or some sort of sacred symbol enough the vampire will wither in the face of that faith. How ever, this is by far the slowest and most dangerous method of disposing a vampire and should only be attempted by professionals.
Shadow Manipulation - (Syth's variety) After centuries of being exposed to all kinds of neutral and dark magics Syth's shadow has a certain degree of sentience. It can mold and morph it's shape to the same degree and has weight equal to it's master. It's mass how ever can expand and contract but the total weight remains the same. Example: Shade could shrink down to a small version of it's self and weigh down firmly like an anchor or expand rapidly into a giant but be very light.
The true power however lies in the illusions that shadows can harm you. Fear is the greatest weapon of the living shadow for if you truely believe that the obsidian blade coming at your head is nothing by living darkness than it can not cleave you. But even seasoned warriors have the slightest bit of fear when it comes to personal harm. For if you fear the blade will cut, it will.
This magic is for the most part neutral, neither holy nor infernal, and a signature spell from The Zone Between Zones.
Roboticization - The key method Dr. Eggman uses to attain servants and slaves. The victim is placed in a large chamber, their bodies bombarded with electricity and radiation. The machine demolecularizes the very core of the being and then microscopic nanomachines rebuild the molecules into solid steel and circuitry.
Corporeal - Something that has form and shape, something of existence. To corporealise is to have something with no literal form be given one or manifest into one. It is also what would happen if a Ghost were to be made alive again.
Star Children - These beings were created by Aurora, they were the first beings in existence after the Gods. Aurora took 13 stars and gave them form. Normally, they would be as the Goddess herself, pure energy or essence animated, but after the completion of the temples, and sealing of the Soul Gems, they took a true corporial form. There are no Star Children remaining. The last, Rayne Celestus, died in battle.
