Stealth snorted in the bats direction as he leaned up agisnt the side of the elevator."Can ya quite whining. We got the kid for this mission so be happy. He sighed shaking his head breifly as he looked around the elevator. It did feel good to be around technology. That was for sure, even if he was with a pair of paranormals.

CC, completely ignoring the Dhole, not out of unkindness but due to the intense and wholly unbelievable information just given to her, eyes the hedgehog with a steady gaze. She turns to her drink, a large mug of herbal smelling tea, and sips at it before speaking, her voice matching the quiet tone of Psychosis. "You were smart to use my full name, else I would definately not have believed you."
She puts the large mug back down upon the table, "I do not usually have much to do with Gods or Godesses... or really anything else than where my next meal is going to come from. I did not even begin to think that such things existed - but, if you are perhaps offering me a chance to get out of here, have some adventures and perhaps learn some more about what there is in this world? ... then you can count me in! But, I think that you need to explain a few more things, for the sake of my curiosity- like, how you know my full name and why the heck you came after me- I am sure that those goons you chased off may have been good fighters. The main one certainly had a good right hook..."
____
Still breathing heavily the lemur hesitates for a moment and then stands up, turning around as she does so. She is sure that Shade can handle himself and besides, there was a goal here, she had a mission to complete. With bright eyes she realizes that the perilous hallway is now at an end and that the beginnings of a large open hall stand in front of her. There is nothing but the dull hum of energy coming from a statue in the middle of the large room. She knows what lays inside the statue and Tala carefully makes her way towards the center, letting her eyes flick from place to place stopping only when she sees movement around the base, realizing that it is a snake-like creature coming out from behind the statue. It seems to be a bit suprised at first but quickly recovers and slithers quickly towards the lumur, its fangs dripping with poison and a look of death in its eyes.

Thunder's eyes rolled at Stealth at the little 'title'.
"Who are you calling a 'kid', vulpine?" Thunder snerked. "Just 'cause I'm not from some military team, doesn't mean you can underestimate me. I could be just as skilled as you."
Then Thunder shifted to Shae.
"This elevator is one of many access portals to my underground base." Thunder said. "The ruins were built as a huge tower a long time ago, and I've reconstructed it, with a few imaginative adjustments, of course. It's based off of me, because I deal with technology and magics. A nice roomy garage for transports and such, a lab and computer area, a level for socializing and eating and stuff, there's storage, even chamber for mystical energies and all that."

Shae quirked a brow and twitched his ears back.
"Seems like you've been busy here.." said Shae "Hey, wait a second.. if memory serves, one of the Sacred Temples is to the West of Marble Gardens.. in the Hidden Palace Zone." thought Shae.
He uncrossed his arms and put two fingers to his forehead.
"I'll be back, I'm going to check something out.. Stealth, Thunder.. you guys behave while I'm gone." said Shae, teleporting from the elevator to an empty field, and then again into the heart of the Hidden Palace zone.
Meanwhile, in Eggman's base;
"Sir, Project 2501 is ready to go.."
"Egg-sellent.. dispatch him to the last known co-ordinates of Legion's forces." ordered Eggman.
"Yes sir."
An alarm signalled and a set of silo doors opened on Eggman's airfield. A large carrier transport ship lifted from the hole and shot off through the sky. In the large, pitch black cargo hold, Project 2501 lay dormant, awaiting to be dropped into its mission.

Well, that there was a moot point. If Luminous had known better himself, he would have thought that Syth was showing off, or just so bored that he wanted this done and over with. Still, there was nothing he could do, so waited for the sound of the two to get up before stepping forward. "I may not know how to break a barrier, but for me to set one up, that would be an easy task, so allow me to hand you your own challenge, Spade. Break my barrier, so that I may prove to you that I am who I speak of..." At these words, a barrier of light surrounded him, bright and strong as the sun that shone on him in the village he stood in, putting as much power as he can without expending himself, and as to not hurt the comrade-to-be...

Spade rose to his feet, very quickly. He gawked at the Echidna of pure white.
"You? Testing me? Hah hah hah.. If Mother has sent you for me, like your friend just proved, then I don't have to prove anything."
He pulled his axe up over his shoulder plate and smiled.
"Mother must have good reason to send the likes of you two to recruit me.. but if you really insist on testing my strengths..."
Spade lunged forward, a shockingly fast pace for his rather bulky size, his feet pounding into the ground. He yelled and raised his battle axe over his head striking it down on the barrier the Echidna had made. Energy cackled and arched around his heavy axe. At first, it would seem nothing happened.. then a sound simillar to shattering glass echoed trhough the village. Spade stood straight, lowering his axe into the sand.
"How's that for a demonstration of my strength?"
Spade said, with a heavy chuckle in his voice. At the same time, back in the Casino Night Zone..
"I know who you are by the same means I knew where to find you.. I am a templar.. a psychic, in more common terms.. I can read the minds and life energies and even futures of other Mobians.. as well as use my own psionic energies to fight.. these are the abilities I was cursed with.."
He looked around the small café, he watched one of the waitresses, then smirked.
"That waitress over there.. when she goes to the next table, the Mongoose is going to slap her behind, and she'll slap him on the face for it."
A few moments after he said it, sure enough, the red mongoose slapped the waitress's bottom, and she decked him a slap back across his face, knocking him off his chair.

Lum lost his balance for only a second, but steadied himself. Smiling, he lent out his hand in the direction of the attack. This young man, however competitive and carefreee, definently had the power to back up his own words, and was worthy of such respect. "A good attack. You weild much strength behind your weapon. I would like to shake the hand of such a worthy warrior."

CC did not look impressed, instead she took another sip of tea and grinned, "Well, I am not too sure how difficult it would have been to read that little situation... but it sure helps to explain how you know my name. Not too sure if I should be concerned with what else you know about me though."
It was a bit of a harmless jab, as the cat knew that there was nothing in her to hide - she had no secrets from anyone and her past, though not the sunniest or happiest one, was one of suprising good. She breaks eye contact finally and shrugs, "you still have not explained why you have come to me of all mobians, but I guess that will be explained some other time... it is how these things work isn't it? Heh"
Possibly will explain some other things as well... and, if all else fails, at least he is damn handsome. I would not mind following that body anywhere and everywhere for a while... The cat thinks to herself, making her grin spread even wider upon her playful face as she continues to sip at her tea.
__ With Shade still being sidetracked by the various traps in the area the nimble lemur finds herself facing this foe alone. Pulling out her two long daggers she waits, not too long, for the creature to reach her. It lashes out and she sidesteps, slashing down with one of her short blades, scraping one of the sharp poisoned teeth. Bits of the poison grace her blade and the only facial expression that comes to her is a raised eyebrow. She moves swiftly and deftly, bringing her other blade down to stab into the side of the creature. It coils up while it screams in pain but at the same time wrenches the blade from her.
Tala spins around quickly and attacks again, not letting the creature regain its mind as it still reels from the pain of the lemur's blade in its side. She is not fast enough though as its tail sweeps out, knocking her off of her feet. She rolls backwards and into a crouch, still facing the creature. It comes towards her again, attempting another strike, this time at her side but she is too quick as she brings her blade down at into the brainpan of the creature. It drops like a stone to the ground, blood oozing out of its mouth and she retrieves both of her blades from its body, wiping them off on its scaly skin before making her way to the statue.

Stealth turned and glared at thunder as shae left. "I call ya kid cause your damn full of yourself. All you are is arogant and egotisitc mr. knowitall. I am highly doubting what you say you are. Some super genious fighter witth a knack for making large bases outa nowhere. I hope the god aurua dosent stick me with someone like you. For I would deflate that ego of yours in ten seconds flat pal."he growled. "So watch it KID."he growled. He glanced around and wondered if he should inform the EDF about this place.
Meanwhile Simons forces had arived at the edge of Eggmans territory and had set up a base camp. Techbots were pulling maintence on hydras as spec op troops prepared their weapons. Their mission was to take out the defense grid and with what the secondary forces stole from eggmans supply base. It would be a snap. Or thats what the troops thought. Simon though was frowing as he went over readouts from the satcom scanners. The orbital satalites showed a large carrier flying off. "Hmm I think eggman might have relaized IM here....looks like Im going to have to throw him a party."He said with a dark chuckle as he went over to a datapad and began to type up a storm. A strategy/ contengency plan in case eggman attacked before he could attack him.

A dark shadow covered the ground above Legion's forces. The large carrier shuttle loomed overhead, taking a hail of fire from below as it lowered. Its shields barely reflecting th blasts. All that mattered was delivering the cargo.. Project 2501.
The hatch opened and a massive mechanical egg hurdled to the ground below. At first, one would suspect it was abomb, that was a dud.. but the shell of the egg began to crack. With explosive force, the shell fell away, taking out several of Legion's forces in the process. When the dust settled, an enourmous robotic dragon was clearly visible.
At first, it made no movement, then its eyes flared open burning abright red. The large green an yellow dragon flew into the sky, its wingspan enough to blot out the sinking moon in the fading night. The dragon swooped down in a barrel roll letting lose a blast of incinerating plasmic flame. The already baron earth of the Robotrobolan Island was scorched by the flame.
The dragon landed, and swiped at several Hydras with its large steel talons, firing of missile from launch bays in its palms. This was a beast to be wreckoned with.. Eggman's pride an joy.. Project 2501.. Apophis.
Elsewhere, Shae had arrived at his destination, and to his hunch, there was indeed one of the Sacred Temples in the Hidden Palace Zone. He entered, carefully reading the markings and ancient text so as to know where the traps were. He was thankful the Goddess had taught him the Starian language. It would save his fur in the long run. He walked through the passageways, pressing certain stones on the walls to hinder the traps.
"This should be easier than I thought..." said Shae, confidantly.
He continued through, entering the grand hall of the Temple. In the center of the room stood the Carbon Statue of this temple, and upon viewing, it was clear this was the Temple of Light. The statue was in the image of Ballard, the Vanguard who preceeded Shae. Ballard had ascended into a being of pure light, which cleared the path for Shae to assume his place with Aurora.
Shae approached the statue, placing his palm on the base. Upon contact a seering pain and dark energy cackled over his body.. it coursed through his veins, seeping to his very core. He became engulphed in a purple flame, collapsing on the ground. The statue crumbled down, and the SoulGem shard hovered in the air.

Simon snarled as he stared across the battle feild at that accursed dragon. His robotic eye blazed as his computers fed him on what they knew about this robot. With a nod to his generals His troops began to pull back as the wolf began to walk twords the beast. He cursed eggman. The wolf snarled and shook his head. Always the scientist to pull a superweapon out of his butt. Wel lthe wolf would have to outhink it first. He opend a comlink and sent them a typed order over a secure freency. Sundely his transports aimed their main artilery at the dragon as they rose in the air moving into postion while the hydra units scattered around the dragon distracting it with blasts from their small plasma cannons. Peppering it and keeping its fire on them. Meanwhile The transports started to charge the chaos partical projector cannons. The ships main armament and as soo nas the organic troops were out of the way. They fired bathing the beast in a destructive wave of deadly azure unstable artifical chaos energy.
The dark wolf smiled cruely as he watched the light show of destruction. Eggman might have his own technologies But the wolf had his own as well. All at the disposal of syntaru and his order to weaken eggman.

The coming onslaught of fire from Legion's forces cleared.. and in the fading night, the Dragon still stood, one could catch a glimpse of a particle shield reflecting in the fading moonlight. It let out a thunderous roar, sending a massive wall of flame out at Legion's forces, disintegrating the Hydras and Shuttles. Apophis was strong, a quarter century of work had gone into his design and construction all the latest developments in Eggman's arsenal were tested, adapted, then added to him.
He had near limitless power supplies, reserves, self-restoring ammunition. It was the ultimate machine in Eggman's empire. A small hover drone observed the battle, it had a viewscreen on it that displayed Eggman's face, and speakers with a wide audio range.
"Yoohooo!! Oooooh Siiiiiimon... yooohooo!! How do you like my new pet?" cackled Eggman. "I've spent quite a long time perfecting my dear baby Apophis.."

Thunder glanced at Stealth after his verbal 'flailing', then he began to laugh hysterically.
"Egotisical?" Thunder laughed. "What are you, a soldier or a psychologist? For someone who just met me, you seem to be making alot of harsh judgements about me, especially about combat, since you haven't fought me yet. Allow me to clarify since you obviously didn't listen properly the first time. I modified this place. I didn't build it. I am skilled various things involving electricity, which includes engineering and magic. Now, I don't what kind of beef you have with me or my skills, but I suggest to get ahold of your own ego and behave yourself while you're in my base, otherwise you might find yourself in an unfortunate accident, understand, Stealth?"
Thunder didn't like being judged by people that didn't know him, especially military-type people, because he was always open-minded of others, despite of skills, power, or race. He learned this lesson the hard way during his youth, and took quite the offense when people called him out because of such.
