(OOC: IMPORTANT! All players must read the last post in The Dawning of a New Day before posting here in A Gathering of Forces so that you know your starting places.)
As Shae blinked, he found himself out of the Chaos Realm and upon the ruined surfaces of the Marble Garden Zone, the vulpine beside him.
"Hmph, well, we're stuck together vulpine.. let's find this hedgehog quickly.. so I don't have to listen to you griping.." said Shae, walking through the ruined debris.
Strangely, a feeling of familiarity was about, something about he and the Fox working together seemd.. right.. in some way. He shrugged it off and continued walking.
In the back alleys of Westopolis, Syntaru's Shadow essence appeared to a rather stern looking partially mechanized Wolf.
"Legion.. the time has come, your debt is up and you must now serve me.." said the demon. His voice filled with an evil aere.

"Oh like I enjoy the thought of working with you bats...please I rather be sipping a cold one in Evergreen with a nice vixen at my side entrancing her with my war stories."He growled at the bat as he gazed at the near collasping ruins, kicking a peice of marble off his perch watching it fall into the magma bellow with a pop and hiss. "Yeah sure is a lovely slice of hell she sent us to I hate the marble garden, toom any damn traps around these ruins and not enough treasure to make it worthwhile."
Legion glanced up, a crimson light burned from the hood of the tattered cloak he had used to disguiesed his form while he hid in westopolis. A cold chuckled ushed from his being as he stood."Well well Syntaru, I was wondering when you would include me in your schemes. For only a fool would think you would forget and leave me to my plans for this world when you have plans yourself. Still I am but a servant of the lord of shadows and destruction. My agents are ready and my labs are at yourdisposal my lord. My blades are yours to strike out at your enimies oh one who plucked me from thanatos grasp."he said shedding the cloak and bowing to the spector as a crimosn energy crackled over his armoured form. Oh simon was ready indeed. He was ready for people to fear the name Legion once more!

"Hah, I never doubted you would amass an army, but your grand plans for conquest will only come to froition through me." said the demon, laughing some. "My other general, Tala, and Shade are currently scowering the Ocean Palace zone for a shard of my SoulGem.. but you however, I wish to do something much less tedius.. there is a pain here on Mobius known as Dr. Eggman.. and he has sided with a rather powerful ally, if the two are able to pose any threat to my whims, then they must be dealt with.. they are currently in Robotropolis to the South."

Kuri, once again, landed roughly on the hard ceiling of the Casinopolis building, trying her best to hold down the gracious meal of berries and meat she had received from the goddess. Giving a sigh to calm her nerves, the dhole rolled over and stood up, looking at Psychosis, smiling.
"So, shall we start looking for this 'CC' cat?" she asked, scratching the back of her head.

Simon let out a cold laugh."Yes my lord but you know I have not the patience for your shadow creatures, I rather have minions I know are under my thumb. But that dosent mean they are less affective in battle. You shall see what my Hydras do to your eneimeis."he said wit ha cruel laugh as he turned to the side and storked his muzzle at the thought of eggman. "So you want me to deal with my old master eh? it might make thigns intresting Ive been meaning to settle things with that gulo or wahtever hes called. But sdont worry my lord if you want me to Ivo then I shall he nor his pet nor this new minion you speak of shall stand the might of your glorious shadow now the might of my steel paw! " He said clicnhing his fist for effect arcs of crimson energy arcs all over it.

Luminous wasn't surprised to find his feet on unfamiliar ground after hearing his mission. Sniffing the air, he could tell that the deathog, Syth, was near. There was no need for him to use any energies to lead the blind echidna, the smell and sound would do. Looking in the general direction of the scent, he smiled. "Well, this is one surprise I may never get over. One of the light and one of darkness, working together to find a Koala...So, where do you suggest we look first?"

Just like nobility, point out a flaw in their plan and the next thing you know you're swept away. Ignoring the Blind One for a time Syth turned his back on the fading eccense of the Goddess and her traveling spell.
"I'm a bloody pessimist because you failed to answer any of the questions, this is exactly why Father and I don't associate with her kind. Argh!"
Syth materialized his tools of office and dusted off his gloves, their time away had mended them and removed the foul ickor of demon blood and gore that was previously engrained in the leather like material. Turning back to the echidna Syth spoke and started to move out.
"Let us get this fetching order for the Goddess done and over with. The sooner we return to the Chaos Realm the closer I get to that promise of increased power and secret abilities. I have a God of Evil to slay. . ."
Zeroing in on the soul of Spade, Syth trod on, either still to weak glide to the location or not wanting to leave his new cohort behind one couldn't outwardly tell.

Thunder, a electric-based hedgehog, was resting outside when he saw a strange flash of light in the distance.
"Whoa, what was that?" Thunder asked with a start. "I hope it's not that Egg-buh annoying the crap out of this zone again. I'm tired of blasting his robots."
Pushing off on one hand and pivoting to a kneeling position, he summoned a cloud of lightning underneath him, which began to rise from the ground. Thunder then dipped into his bag and pulled out a headset and put it on. A visor extended from it, giving information of energy and lifeforms. As he looked in the direction of the light burst, the cloud moved towards it.

Tala was quiet as she and Shade slipped through the dark Ocean Palace Zone, the energy here was a heavy one and almost overwhelming in places due, possibly, to all of the water. Tala hated going underwater, but gathering the soul shards, while tedious work was integral for the full comeback of her Lord.
At least this time she would be on her gaurd, knowing that anything could happen. She would not be caught like she was with the psionic, she would not allow that.
Shade was pleasant enough company, mostly because he did not speak and because Tala always felt most comfortable with the shadows by her side. She closed her eyes for a moment and concentrated, sorting the enrgies of the area out and concentrating on the darkest source of the area, what should be the Gem. After less than a minute she had changed her direction slightly and continued on an unseen path towards the next temple, the Temple of Ages, where the shard should lay.
______
She had come back.
She always came back, ever since she was a kitten she would work to earn her money, usually by fighting and picking up the scraps afterwards. She liked the boxing circuit, it was simple and a few fights would get you enough money to make it to the next city. She could fend for herself in the forests and various other lands, she could survive and she knew it, but for some reason she was always drawn back to the cities, especially ones in the Casino Zone where she grew up. Maybe it was the people, she did not really know.
It was the same old story as before- she would sign up for a fight, win, sign up for another, win again and then some schmuck wanting to make a few bucks on her would "give her a deal". Usually it was a bad deal to begin with that only beginners went for. In her entire life, the black furred cat with the emerald green eyes had never gone for the deal. "Go down in the fourth toots... give a good fight but when he hits ya, stay down. Doncha be givin' us any of yer crap either, youse gonna stay down or youse is gonna pay"
The large goons standing behind their "boss" nodded and grunted, showing gleams of not so white teeth and a glimpse of weapons that were probably still stained with the blood of the last mobian who turned down the deal.
"I've told you before and I will tell you again, I am not going to go down, I will fight the fight fair and square and if your boy can beat me, so be it." she replied, her voice steady and sure and her eyes looking directly into the measly excuse for a gambling boss.
"heh... we were told yeh were gunna say that... but this time if yeh don't go down yer gonna pay with more than just bruises..." he said menacingly, but the cat just stared at him and sighed, shaking her head.
"Whatever..."
They had hustled her out of the small room and pushed her out the door. She had walked down the dirty aisle towards the ring with only the fight on her mind, she let everything else slip out - she would deal with it when she came to it. For now, she had to worry about the here and now.
The little mutt had not even lasted to the fourth. She had actually barely hit him in the beginnings of the second round, KO'ing him in a single punch. It was clean, and really, regardless of threats from before she probably would have won the fight - she didn't cheat. Maybe it was honour, maybe it was honesty... maybe it was even a tinge of pride, she did not know.
As the big goons from before grabbed her, just outside the alley exit, and slammed her against the wall, grinning and cackling as they taunted and teased her she sighed and shook her already rattling head. She thought, maybe it is just plain stupidity that keeps me coming back.
The largest of the three goons takes out a nice set of brass knuckles and quickly makes use of them by applying them ala large hairy fist, to her stomach.
CC merely growled as an exhale and looked at her direct assailant with her green eyes, almost eerily alight as the anger boiled within her, "Stupidity, definately stupidity..."

Psychosis looked at the Dhole, and laughed a bit.
"Hmhm, well we could start by getting off of this building."
The templar chuckled and grabbed Kuri by the hand, leaping with her off the edge of the building, and for those few faint seconds before gravity kicked in, Psychosis enjoyed the weightlessness.. then just as they started to plummit, he teleported to the safety of the ground. It was strange, something about this place filled the hedgehog with happiness.. whatever it was, it would make the day go easier.
"Sorry if I frightened you with that Kuri, but come, we must fi-"
He paused in speech, he had sensed some danger nearby, two blocks away, he could feel CC's lifeforce.. and he could sense what was happening to her.
"We have no time to spare, she is in danger.."
And with that, the templar dashed away through the alleys. Hoping the Dhole would be close behind. On the other side of the world, in Downunda, Spade was patroling the area outside his village. The village was on the border of the local desert, and was lush and thick jungle forest. Deep within that desert, lay the forbidden Temple. Growing up he heard the stories, 'That temple is cursed' and 'Evil itself calls that temple home' and other nonsense tales.
"-sigh- Another quiet day here in the jungle.. the Dingoes haven't attacked.. and the Eggman's forces have yet to return here.. nothing ever happens anymore."

The Roboticization process was underway. Eggman looked very displeased and upset sitting in his command room. He flipped through his agenda for the day.. and read trhough the field reports. He spied something that caught his interest.. a report of swarms of SwatBots being anihilated by unknown mobian forces.
"Curious.." said Eggman, pressing the intercom button for Lucian's room. "Oh Lucian, if you've had your meal, I have an assignment for you.. a real one this time."
Elsewhere, Shae and Stealth continued through the Marble Garden Zone.
"Hang on a second, there's a pitfall trap up ahead.." said Shae. "..You go first.*laughing*"

stealth rolled his eyes."Joy..."he muttered as he stopped at the edge of the pitfall, more lava was below. the fox snorted and shook his head, glancing to the left he saw some vines."Watch this fly boy."he said with a smirk making a lasso out of the vines and swinged it about over his head. it latched upon an old stature and he puleld it tight to make sure it would support his wieght. then with a satified grunt he swung across to the other side. He droped the vine letting it flop to the middle of the pit."Your turn fly boy.."
Legion laughed as he walekd across the battle feild. the burning remains of the forrest where this battle was waged brought joy to his dark heart. Who knew fufilling the demosn request could be so satfifing. All he had to do was wittle down the good doctors forces. He had to admit. the hydras proved a success. Those battle machines crushed the swatbots."And to think they were made to kill magic users."he chuckled. He had to admit for an operation where the only organic one was him. It had come out to a roaring success.

Syth and his cohort crested the last hill, a small but well kempt village surrounded by ukalyptus trees could be clearly seen from their perch. Some where in this townlet was their prey, time was awasting, and the deathog was impatient.
"Bloody backwoods underdeveloped types, I suppose I can't blame them for wanting to avoid technology, especially after all the damage Robotnik has done. But all the same, they're totatlly unprepared for anything more than a scouting force.
No matter, that is their problem to deal with. If these people have anything even remotely resembling a Shaman they'll have definately sensed my coming and possibly even yours. So we can be sure to. . ."
Out of the surrounding brush came 7 well armed to the teeth koala bears all brandishing whicked spears. The leader identified by: his war paint, head dress, and the fact that he was the only one communicating. Motioned for them to walk slowly down to the village square, that they were to try no funny business and the first sign of mischief they would be shish-kabobs. Granted, the leader never actually said any of thise but it's amazing what a look, and a very sharp well honed piece of metal on a firm staff can impart to one when it rests an inch or so from between your eyes.
"I'm sure you heard them Luminous, but we're surrounded. Follow my lead and put your hands in the air, for the moment we're these people's prisoners."
The trip down the hill was slow, made much more difficult but the very near, never wavering spears inches away from vital organs as they made th rocky decent. Once in the village square more of the villages people surrounded the pair. An older woman of the species, bones making a necklace, shook an old aboriginal pointing bone at the two of them. The world seemed heavier, and they felt drained or deminished. In their native tongue, the Village Chief and the Shaman spoke to one another.
"The white one bears much pain on his soul, he will do us no harm so long as we do him no harm. He is blind, and can not udnerstand us." the old woman croaked.
"And the dark one, he has the look of a warrior about him. . ." the Chief questioned openly.
"He smells of the grave, of bones unearthed, and of spirits trapped. He has done much sin, and much good, and remains neutral, he is. . ." the old woman cut off, clutching her chest and falling to her knees. She had glimpsed a bit of what Syth really was, not some average hedgehog but something more, the spears about him closed in tighter. That was when the Reaper manifested his presence in the world of mortals, and to the shock of many spoke their tongue.
"I am the Ender of All Things, I speak for the one you call Leaf Blight, the taker of your kinsman. I am his only adopted son and no language, creed, or class is a barrier to me. I have come for one your own to make him a champion to a higher calling that my own. You name that calling as Mother Tree, creator of your people and mother to you all. I am her messanger, and I wil not be denied. Find me the one you call Spade, we have a mission of him and I will NOT be denied!"
The Chief scowled, this outsider knew of his people, and his aura spoke of the air one finds on a battle field littered with the dead. He beckond a messanger to him, and had to bark a second time to get the boys attention. The Deathog was hard not to stare at while incloaked in his office, the lad was sent to find Spade and bring him with out question to the village square. Answers need to be found, and now.
Meanwhile; Lucain recieved the communication and made his way down. The swatbot moved into the prisoner room after Lucian had exited it. Thankfully the creature was fully robotic and posessed no mobian sensibilities. For if it did, it would probably claw it's eyes out at the horror the blood soaked Lucian had left in his wake. Gore and sinew hung from the prison bars as blood made an all most rythmic macabre heart beat on the prison floor.
None of the cages were open, not a bar was bent or mangled, and the computer showed that none of the cells had been opened at all. But all but one of the cells were empty now, save for crimson splatters and smears lining the walls. Claw marks raked in blood and other substances scattered about as if the occupants were attempting to escape something as they were torn apart and consumed partially.
One lone creature at the very back, a small rabbit no more than 16 years of age rocked back and forth on his metal cot. He had not been alone in his cell, as he was currently imprisoned with his brother, or rather WAS imprisoned. Written in the blood of his kin on the wall were the words: "Midnight Snack!" a garish reminder that the creature was doomed.
This was just for show really, the screams and dying torment of the other prisioners and watching his own brother be devoured by a creature lacking form or mercy was enough to drive the small lad insane. Rocking back and forth, oblivious to reality or the swatbot mopping up the mess the vampire had left.
Fully restored after such a venerable feast, the once again whole Lucian strode to Eggman's inner sanctum again, eager to do some real work instead of robot recycling on an Oil Rig. Flicking a bit of rabbit fur from his cuff the vampire made a grand entrance and presented himself before Ivo once more. He smiled, his fangs still awash with the lives of those he had just taken, or as they say red in tooth and claw.
"You summoned me, Master?"
