The metal brazier Myst had knocked over clangled loudly on the stone cavern floor, the metalic sound ringing out hollowly in the vast and for the moment quiet anterchamber. She had had the misfortune doing so in a pause of Lucian's speech and was about start again midbreath when she had made her mistake.
"Oh for the love of darkness, I do so hate to be interupted. Crucio, seal off the cavern. MEN! ESCORT OUR GUEST TO ME!"
Like a hive mind the zombies shambled towards Myst at a frightening speed for creatures that no longer knew life. She closed her eyes, expect the worst but all she could hear was the tap, tap, tapping of a foot many yards away as if imaptient. Squinting to see her fate she found that the tunnel she'd used to enter was sealed off with a wall of sand. A green gem trained her movements no matter how small like an eye. And instead of being bumrushed by an undead legion she found they had formed a hallway with their bodies, standing rigid and unthinking. The hallway ended to a larger circle where Lucian stood waiting with ire. Their eyes met even over the long distance and the world swam before the artic dwell.
It seemed as if the room had raised a thousand degrees to a sweltering heat, the air danced like an abandoned highway at noon in the Shifiting Sands desert. Reality, time, and space all bent and twisted. Myst had felt this way before, almost a year ago before loosing control. Fighting with her martial arts trained will power a small bit of Myst remained free of Lucian's Dark Control. She resisted to the core of her being and it was Ostrum that finally had to have her frozen form carried by a zombie to his sdie instead of just making her come hither.
"Well, well, well so we meet again my little hedgsicle. I wonder what brings you to my not so humble abode. Surely by now you realize the pious monk you met was a ruse and that I am indeed the real deal. I'll admit that I was impresed with your performance on that Light Forsaken Isle and even more so that your attempts to resist me are going fairly well considering the circumstances.
Normally I'd just out right slay you, as still as this heart is I'd rather it not be encased in ice. But making you mindless worm food seems like such a waste. You're certainly not bad looking for a Fured One, and aside from my war generals of which they've been programed to have a one track mind some sentient company would be nice that isn't a robotic sidekick to Ivo in some way.
Yes, the more I think of it the more I like the notion. Ever king needs a consort. So here's the offer little girl and listen close because I know you can hear me imprisioned inside your own head. You have but one chance to swear your undying alligance to me and you will indeed become the undying. Never again will you stand in the sun or a place of holy writ with out penalty. You will become a monster and feed on the souls of the living to sustain your own existance. And with this price comes power, power to do as you wish with most of the fodder you encounter. Time to seek out any lost knowledge you may ever thirst for. And lastly the Oppertunity to get revenge on any and all that have wronged you. All you have to do is kneel. . .
I offer you eternity little girl, what say you?"
Something dark twinkled in Lucian's eye, if monsters could hope it might be that but in some one so self centered it seemed an unlikely event. Regardless of that the bloodsucker oozed power and charisma, either his offer would be accepted and he'd just recruited a powerful ally or had just welcomed one free shot before removing her from the face of Mobius. Mind abuzz with her options Myst's mind swam with his words and found she could move on her own accord again.

To begin with, seemingly putting herself on par with the legendary Sonic was somewhat unbelievable. It was true that he was nowhere near that fast himself, despite being able to outrun and dodge practically everyone in the Casino Zone. CC’s quick movement had taken him by surprise. How did she get right next to him so fast? Was she serious? How could she…? He was about to become a believer; he had seen a lot lately, this wasn’t that implausible come to think of it.
“Heeeyyy,” pouted Tayuu as he was easily flipped up onto CC’s back, “I’ll have you know I’m under average weight for my age.” This he was used to, his wolf friend often used his strength to lift and throw Tayuu around. He closed his eyes for a second as a the wind got stronger before looking up in awe. The storm that Amon whipped up was impressive, and placing a diversionary clone within it was a great idea.
That’s when CC began to run, he wasn’t comfortable imposing on her and was about to implore that she let him run alongside her. That was until he noticed how fast they were going; “No way!” Her speed at this pace, even with him on her back, made his own top speed look like a mere schoolboy’s track & field event. Not even that, a baby’s crawl towards it’s favourite toy. At first he was freaking out at the speed but soon it began to feel like a fairground ride and he noticed his mix of fear and excitement all at once. Concentrating like in his training, his eyes began to focus and soon he was able to see obstacles coming before they actually passed him. This however troubled his brain and he started ducking now and then to dodge oncoming tree branches and the like, even though CC moved out of the way regardless. This caused his balance to waver, but he could quickly recover without causing hassle for the catgirl. His hands gripped her shoulders a bit tighter all the same but now he was worrying over CC’s health.
He tried to call to her but instantly ate a bug that was flying by. After coughing it out for a few seconds he moved his mouth closer to her ear; “You ok? We’ve come quite far, you’re going to really hurt yourself. We could rest for a bit. The prof is…” That reminded him and Tayuu turned to look to see if Amon was keeping up. This made him lose his balance again. This made him quickly try to correct himself. This made him accidentally grasp CC’s chest and go “epp!” the moment he realised where his hands were.
((OOC: If this causes an almighty crash I’m sooo sorry, but, but, I couldn’t help but have poor Tayuu do it, muhahaha.))

Stealth's eyes narrowed in a slight frown, the whispers tickling the ever growing dark corners of his mind. A snarl passed his lips hearign what she had to say, thinking it was his own inner voice, a paw clenching wrinkling the paper clutched in that paw. "Yes....they ran..their guilty.....they are mockingg mr...,mockign the innocent lives they took. They will pay! I will make certain of it. Officer Micheles. Im gonna need that report on the fugitives."he calledo ut to a small racoon CPD Officer that had been asigned as his aid. The racoon simply shook his head as he walked in. No luck sir. A storm generated by the templer..brimming with psyonic energies is coverign their escape Scanners located the templer in the midst but closer scanned just showed hi to be a psyonic illusion to fool us...they escaped sir...but dont worry he cant keep the storm up forever adn then the satalites will get them."He said confidently to the shadowy fox.
Stealth simply growled and shook his head. NOthey wont..becuase.....if I were them I would head to one of the few places our satalites are blind in."
"and what would that be sir?"the racoon asked.
The fox frowned and slowly nodded."Yes...robototropolis...thats where I would have gone if I was in their predicament..its dangerous yes..but ever sense legion took over..his hjjammers combined with the cities eletrical interferance..have made it nigh imposible for our sat scans to lock onto anything....its a safe haven for them...."the fox said turnign away from the raccon before he glanced back at the racoon a fire in his eyes. Theirs only one village with a port to the oilic sea and such the only way to the city fortress without a plane..and they cant risk air..legion would shoot them down or we would."he said stabibng a coastal town on the map on his desk. I want youto send in a task force in asap and taklk to the mayor and explain out situation and lock the port down, send in some patrol boats and get us soem air reconaince over all non legion waters leading to the dark city noting comes in our out of that port tillthose fugitives are captures..NOw hurry knowing CC she will be using her speed so time is short! Now go after this paper work is doen Ill meet the rest of the men there!"he said as the racoon ran out with orders..soon craft dispatched from evergreen flew off for the port sound acompained by casinopolis craft.
As CC ran she would hear and see low flying craft hunter and CPD craft heading for the port as they buzzed over her head luckily the bursh and trees hid them from the hunters.
Leiong meanwhile walked down a dark corridor to one side of him was his loyal super centurion geist and the other his right hand man Felis. They were inspecting the new war lab going over the latest advancements fro mthe new scorpoian subsurface attack bot. to the neweewst weapons to combatthe growing undead presence. From ways to use the suns radation in whole new ways to deadly acids and other evil devices as well as new artifical chaos energy based weapons were in full production

In the lodging chambers of the central palace in the Chaos Realm. Ishillar Amora lay quietly on her soft bed. The bulb of her abdomen had grown some, faster than a normal pregnancy. But then, a being such as her pregnant in the first place wasn't exactly normal to begin with. In the doorway of the room, Shae stood, watching over her.
"Strange, to be granted such a miracle in the absence of the Goddess.. no doubt the good Lady planned it this way. But still.. the world is once again unravelling.. I am but a simple vanguard, not fit to run the balance of the universes themsleves.. How can I think of such things when a beauty such as Ishillar lays before me?"
Shae spoke softly so as not to disturb the sleeping Meerkat. He walked quietly and slow-paced ore to the bed and knelt down beside it, taking ishillar's hand in his own. He could not help but smile.. despite all the coming chaos of the world. Elsewhere however..
"Dr. Eggman sir, we've breached the planet's atmosphere.. shall we head directly to the island rondez-vous?"
Eggman scratched his moustache a moment.
"No, not just yet. Lucian's forces can handle any possible threat. We shall take a different course. Head to Downunda... I have something I need to do down there before we begin the advance on Robotropolis."
"Yes sir. At once sir. Setting course for Downunda continent."

Regaining her movement, Myst instantly charged up a bolt of ice.. strangely though, when she raised her arm to unleash the cold chill straight into the face of the Vampire.. she could not. Instead, she dispatched the energy at a nearby minion, turning it into a solid icy chunk of rotted flesh. She took a stern look at the master Vampire, cold stare in her bright blue eyes. Her mind weighed her options, she knew that she had no chance of getting away clean if she refused..
She turned her back to the Vampire, lowering the hood from her cloak.
"I guess I really have no other choice here.. I.. I submit.."
Every word she had spoken made a stabbing pain into her heart. She had just sold her soul to the wickedest of all evils. She had chosen to save her existence rather than to save her honor.. she had disgraced the light she'd faught so hard to preserve back on the dread island. She was sick with herself.. and would have to live with that decision for eternity. As there was literally no turning back now. All she could do was wait for the sharp pierce that would end her mortality and turn her into a creature of feral darkness..
A single tear dripped from her eye, turning into an icicle as it fell to the ground.. what had she just done.

In the shadow of the fox, Kitsa grinned, if not for the pure pleasure of turning this fox against all light and goodness, she would probably be disheartened at how easy it truly was.
________
Concentrating on running fast and going around all the various obstacles was an easy task for the feline, ignoring the immense pain throughout her entire body was not easy... but it was something that she had practiced long and hard to be good at. Ignoring two paws placing themselves upon her chest where they have no right to be, even if placed there out of pure mistake, was one of the few things that in the entirety of her life, CC was pretty sure had never happened. If not for the sound of the hunter crafts quickly approaching, CC most likely would have thrown the young Tayuu off of her shoulders.
Instead, she cursed the feline, Stealth and every other thing she could in order to keep her mind on the task at hand. They were nearing the docks, but if the choppers were already drawing in then it was sure that there would have been an apb put out on the three 'fugitives', stopping all boats and other crafts from picking them up. Normally, this would have slowed the cat down, but she knew better. She knew these lands like the back of her paw, as she mentioned before, and nothing was going to keep them from reaching their goal of Robotropolis. Without any notice to either Tayuu or Amon, CC veers off to the right, heading towards a copse of trees that would hide the three from plain view. This would not help for long, but it was not truly what CC was going for, on the other side of the trees was her destination.
On the other side of the trees was a large marina filled with many different boats, all that looked quite similar, belonging to the same company. James Redtail sat outside, smoking a pipe and enjoying the rays of sun upon his fur, soaking up all he could. The hefty and burly squirrel sighed happily, it had been a good day - a huge haul of fish, all of his boats returned and they had made enough money last month that he could afford to give his staff a big bonus on their next pay. The sound of something in the air catches his attention and he looks to the sky, not yet seeing anything coming he shrugs and turns his attention back to his boats.

Lucian hadn't even batted an eye at one of his own being turned into a mushy block of useless biomatter. The thought on some intrinsic level bothered Myst that he would be so chillingly thoughtless and remorseless to his own offspring but now her mind was else where. Mostly on the Overlander hovering over her an instant before the world went black. Her eyes were open and yet she could not see, she blinked many times and yet still the universe was a lightless void in which no imagry could be grasped. There was a slight breeze at her neck, she expected a pair of pin pricks, or perhaps a ravaging tearing of muscle and sinew as the vampire infected her with it's fell magic. But it was not to be, myth it would see had romaticized the process of vampirism and when she began to feel the change she wished the legend were the reality.
After the light airy touch came a fire, a burning so strong it rivaled the desert heat she had endured to reach this dark place. So accustomed to the cold environs in which she was raised this liquid metal coarsed through her veins with the force and mercy of a forest blaze, and twice as destructive. Into her Caradic Artery the undead poison seeped, a mixture of calm and ethreal panic suffused her being. Imagine your final deathrattle and a powerful orgasim all rolled into one undulating circus of mixed emotion and you still wouldn't do the process proper. There simply weren't any words that one can conjure to give creedance to the way of the undead.
The feeling raced through Myst's system, her heart racing now as it anticipated danger, adrenaline and fighting spirit rising up in her. Survival instinct and general common sense over ruling the process she had submitted to willingly, albeit, under durress. This quickened her blood all the more and the poison ran faster. Through each arm and leg infecting down to the last finger and toe. Now the fire cooled into ice, a grave touch cold that the hedgehog had never known even on the must blusterous jettie in the dead of winter in Ice Cap Zone. Her thoughts found a moment of clairity in the mix of pleasure and pain. She pondered if this is what it was like when normal people got a chill or a cold?
The idea was lost quickly as the process finally found her heart, like a valiant warrior attempting to stave off Death himself it thrashed about her ribcage. Shuddering, studdering, and finally slowly started to throb softer and softer until it beat no more. The brain paniced but even then it was too late. No more blood giving oxygen and nutrients, the lungs shut down, the stomach stopped digesting, muscles relaxed and her eyes drooped but did not close. Like a rag doll she fell to the gritty floor and could not move, aware and still present behind her eyes like a perverted voyer looking at her lost mortality through the victim that was her own soul.
Lucian fell back a step or two and held his head with both hands, he winced and shook the pain away. Strange things always happened when he fed on the Furred Ones, especially when they were tied to the Elements as strong as this one. He recalled a purple hedgie with the power of lightening at his beck and call. The static cling lasted a full week before finally retiring from his system. Now a cool air filled his head and cleared his throat.
"Whoa, brain freeze."
In her pile Myst tried to laugh but found she couldn't. Not because she couldn't physically manipulate her mouth into a smile or fill her lungs one last time to laugh but that the feeling was lost to her. Mentally, the situation warrented mirth but no feeling of ellation or humor came, instead a monster lurked in the background, every moment growing stronger. She sensed it, and it sensed her, and she knew it was the Hunger. The inner demon that drove all Vampires to feast on the living for sustainance. Now it was small but soon it would grow larger and she'd have to feed. It surprised her more than a little that the thought did not trouble her nearly as much as it would have moments ago. The undead infection neigh near complete.
From the corners of her vision Lucian made a small gesture in the air and spoke a word in a language she had never heard before. But she could "feel" the meaning, it ment "Ice" and "Rest". She floated into the air a few inches from the ground and was arranged as if laying flat. The air grew chill and the subterannian air cut off at once, taking on a crystaline likeness. A coffin of ice had formed around Myst, she was incased and felt remarkably comfortable, this disturbed her more than recognizing the Hunger did.
"I used what little power I drained from your corpse to make your Bed. Remember the words I used for you must rest when the Day Star mounts the sky until you grow in power and control. How luck that you can carry your Bed with you and form it of your own accord while most of my men must burrow into the earth in which they crawled from the night before.
Rest now little Vampire, I have much to teach you and a short trip to make to Robotropolis. We shall see how well you do as my Consort in a sortie against the mighty Legion himself. Prove your worth to me there and you shall continue to exist. Fail, and there will be a permanant ice cube in the Shifting Sands Desert.
No sleep, and know you are a Child of the Night!"
The world grew dark and the hedgehog named Myst perished this day. Something far fiercer and more powerful would rise with the moon this night. And Lucian's army increased by one.

At the sudden veering of CC’s predicted path and a glance over to the docks, Tayuu suddenly felt like he should disembark to make sure CC suffered no further discomfort. He suddenly jumped up, grabbing onto an overhanging tree branch and spun around until he was crouched upon it. Although it was just for a few seconds, he was very concerned about his accidental groping earlier; he really didn’t want to get slapped in the face by his idol. ‘Oh flip, what if she thinks I did it on purpose? What if she thinks I’m a pervert or something? Gah, I bet she hates me now.’ He suddenly had this chibi-styled image of CC drop kicking him and then Amon following up with bright red eye lasers blasting him into a charred mess on the ground. The catboy sighed deeply in despair.
He had another concern at that moment ever since CC mentioned the boat idea. He sniffed… he could even smell what he was afraid of in the air. Jumping up to another branch, he watched as CC slowed down to a viewable speed, then his gaze wandered to the body of water. A tiny ‘meow’ squeaked in the back of his throat, he was worried, but hopefully it would all be ok.
Tayuu looked down to make eye contact with CC (and Amon if he was nearby) rather than yell down to ask what the next step was. The CPD craft overhead made him even more nervous…

Amon had to shrug off the feeling of anger towards the accidental grope. More important matters were at hand. Keeping up with his dear Ci Ci for one. Being a hedgehog, he was naturally fast, but he had forgotten just how fast his darling feline was. It had been ages since he'd ever had to run anywhere, he'd always just teleported long distances. He had grown rather overdependant on his powers perhaps. Another item to be fixed in his personal well-being. He darted quickly, following Ci Ci's after images in their trail to the Marina. He shuddered once, subtley as the CPD craft zoomed by over their heads.
Amon skids to a hault and leaps in the air, making a nice aerobatic landing on a sheltered rock. Covered in the trees he knelt down, calling out to his love via telepathy.
"Is this the abode of the infamous Redtail you always speak of?"
He chuckled, softly in his head to lighten any tensions rimming through her head. To calm the rapid and flustered patterns in her subconcious. He turned his head slightly upward to proect his thoughts at Tayuu.
"By the way, I saw that.. just because she happens to have a rather sensational bust, does not grant you right to grope.. I've got my mind's eye on you."
The same tactic of light-heartedness. To calm Tayuu and ready him for what was coming next. And what was coming next would be a harrowing experience indeed. The waters around Robotropolis were not the friendliest of territories with their heightened security. Legion had made sure to cover any mistakes left by the former tenant; Dr. Eggman.

(ooc- Brain freeze... *rolls eyes* that hurt my brain and yet I love it)
CC skids to a stop and forces herself to NOT glare up at the cat, his sudden disembarkture from her back throwing her off kilter so that she almost stumbled and fell, for the hundreth time this day it seemed, the feline was thankful for her reflexes. Amon's voice within her mind was like a breath of cool and refreshing air, lighthearted and caring and she looked up into the trees where he was hidden, smiling gently, yes, yes it is she thought slowly, knowing that Amon would pick up on it even if his attention was somewhat distracted.
"Let's hope Redtail doesn't mind me dropping in... probably best if you two stick back here, the less people he sees, the better. Maybe that can help throw the Hunters off as well." She says out loud to let both know what would be going on. It had been a long time since she had come this way and she could only hope that the squirrel was still alive and well... knowing him though, it would be less likely for him to be gone, he was a tough bugger. All thoughts were kept on the business at hand, though she sorely wanted to tell off the small cat for groping her and she would give anything to just settle down for a moment or two, but no such luck, not with the hunters closing in.
Taking a deep breath in she surges forward, going around the side of the cabin to the front door, where a large squirrel sits, smoking a pipe. His eyes are closed and he seems to be quite relaxed and happy, business looked like it had gone well.
"You know, you keep getting older and I'm going to have to start calling you grey tail" CC says, mirth in her voice.
The mobian starts and leaps out of his seat, eyes wide in surprise but softing to a caring expression as soon as they land upon the cat, "Well, I'll be! If it isn't miss CC... I haven't see this little troublmaker in years! What is wrong? Who are you in trouble with now?"
"Ah heh..." CC smiles, rubbing her head with one paw and looking down for a moment, "I wish I could say that I was just here for a visit... but we are in a bit of a hurry. It has been so long..." She looks up, emerald eyes showing a bit of sadness, but the squirrel waves a paw in the air and goes towards her, patting her on the shoulder.
"Never you mind, what do you need?"
"A HUGE distraction and a way across"
"The aircraft approaching"
"yeah..."
The squirrel whistles and shakes his head but imediately goes about business instead of asking further questions, curious, but knowing that if he actually ended up knowing anything that he would probably be in more trouble than it was worth. "What do you need?"
"I need the special- I can pilot it. And need a triple bunny... and I need it now if possible. If they haven't closed it down already, take this, password is 'dante' ..." she says, handing him a small card, but he pushes it away, not even looking up.
"It'll be done, pier 4... I never saw you... and... CC? Take care."
The feline winks and grins and then is off in a shot, returning to where she left Tayuu and Amon, "Okay boys, it is all settled, follow me and don't let anyone see you."
Again, she takes off, not even waiting for a reply from the cat and the hedgehog as she runs, dodging and sticking to the shadows, nothing but a quick blur that goes from place to place until they reach Pier 4, but there is no boat to be seen. "Hope you two can swim... and make sure to hold your breath!" She mutters before diving smoothly into the wat adn not resurfacing.
___
Underneath the murky marina water, CC swims, slowly now so that the other two can keep up as she finds an old grate under the dock and moves it aside, holding it so that the other two can swim through the long tunnel that leads to an unknown place.

Tayuu wasn’t even thinking about whether his current thoughts were being read by the psychic or not; ‘Not moments after meeting new friends, one being CC no less, and I’ve already screw it up… gaaaahhhh.’ Tayuu squeaked again as Amon spoke into his mind; ‘Then, then, he knows I didn’t do it on purpose right? Ahh crap, he’s still gonna shoot me with his eye beams.’
The catboy slumped and then slid sideways as if he was accidentally falling off the branch but then dropped to the ground perfectly. He moved a little closer to Amon, but kept his distance and didn’t dare say a word. He also decided at that point to keep out of CC’s way for a while. As one of her biggest fans, he didn’t want do freak her out or annoy her any further. He hoped he would get the chance to apologise later as he was too panicked at the time.
CC returned and led the two along to Pier 4, Tayuu slightly more at ease as neither snapped at him or attacked him in anyway. However…
The world seemed to go dark in Tayuu’s mind as he stood unmoving on the edge of the pier. No boat? ‘Hope you can swim’? Tayuu slowly started backing away from the water’s edge, his head shaking; “I… I can’t. I can’t… why did it have to be water?” Now he really knew he was going to be a hindrance. He looked to Amon; “I… I can’t. I’ll stay out here, cover you or something, just don’t make me… go in…”

The comforting chill of the icy coffin put Myst into a deep transe-like sleep. Dreams of her life, days gone by, flashing through her mind. These images portrayed the innocence she'd just lost, thrown away for sake of survival. Yet, the concept of it stirred her not, she was unfeeling. No guilt, no remorse.. not even the replayed memory of her mentor being killed evoked any sense of morality in her subconcious. Myst, as she was, had faded into the abyss of darkness.
All that remained was a new breed of mobian Vampire. One with ties to an element that would prove very useful. Her dancing vision changed to literal portrayal of her new thoughts. She pondered, if her glacialkenesis, and naturally chilled body would grant her longer exposure to the daylight than the other undeadite minions. She would have to experiment at an appropriate time. Though her body slept, her mind was racing, this new energy consuming her very core.
Underneath the lid of the frozen coffin, a smile slowly crept across the sleeping Myst's face. The primal ferocity and cunning, the vicious and relentless nature was coming to surface much sooner than most normal kin-Vampire. Perhaps because of her once pure nature being tossed aside so favorabley. It was a particularly cold day in Sandopolis this day... the Ice Queen had been reborn.
(OOC: That's most I can do until it's time to leave on Eggman's assignment.)

The undead army made it's march the very next night. With Myst risen from her early grave she joined Lucian's unholy army as it trod on through the night time desert from the cetner of the Shifting Sand's Zone. Like an infection breaking the skin the legion of undead rose from their sandy crypts, bubbling to the surface like the fell parasites they were. They marched at a frightening speed, having no mortal restrictions on their muscles, minds, or form. A silent wave of death roiling over the desert dunes south towards the penninsula that came closest to the Robotropolis Island Check Point. It would be a simple boat ride from the port town there to Dr. Ivo's requested meeting place.
Merchants, nomads, and desert plant farmer settlements fell one after another in their swath of destruction. Authorities are few and far in between in the desert, a land of rouges where survival of the fittest was the law of the land. And the undead army making it's devouring march was far more fit than your run of the mill dune dweller wielding aging blasters or a rusty shovel. So large was the dark contingent that not even bones were left in the malestrom of bloodsucker butchery. The lowest zombies chewing the marrow from the bones as they trod through the freezing desert air. Regardless of the cold not a single breath steam rose in the hard movement. A small detail indeed, but eeiry none the less. A small platform made it's way in the middle of the army, it hovered silently. An overlander and a hedgehog the color of freshly fallen snow in winter stood there surveying the mobil empire.
"Welcome to your first night as a member of the presiegous caln of undeath known as Nosferatu. Loosely translated as "No Life Kings". By now I'm sure you've noticed a vast difference betwen you and my other generals. Look into their eyes Frosty One, see that the spark of life is but a flicker while those ranked bellow them it's entirely extinguished. You are at present ranked some where between Neophite and Kindred, but as you grow in power and knowledge you will beocme a fully fledged member of the Children of the Night. Given enough time, you could even reach the same lofty peaks of my own control over the blight that is undeath."
Lucian extended a hand before him in the night air and his finger tips glowed a lucid green, in a flash of movement the air rent a small hole in reality tore assunder. Reaching his hand in the Master Vampire took out a small orb the purest black Myst had ever seen. It wasn't just an onxy sphere, it litterally devoured the moonlight shining upon it, sucking out the very essence of illumination from around him. An image of a small blonde girl sitting on a blood soaked throne flashed through her mind before some shadowy monster devoured the thought bringing her attention back to her mentor.
"Ah yes, she's fiesty with another Kindred near. Forgive my benifactor but I don't let her out very often. This is called a Focus Stone, a bit of a misnommer as it does not aid any mental focus nor is it actually a rock of any kind. Instead, this a condensed bit of magic given to me by a demon. Vampires have their own internal batteries that allow us to exicute a wide range of powers upon the world, but that battery has a limit and with out aid our durration and application of those powers would be vastly reduced. So, we make a pact with a Demon, not so much as selling our soul as we don't have them but more a promise to advance that demon's goals in the realm of mortals. Consider it a simbiotic relationship.
Think of the stone as magnifying glass narrowing and intensifying the suns rays into a point of destructive power. You'll use less energy and be able to focus it more accurately by running your will through it. While most demons are all about fire and brimestone I felt that such a dezien fo the darkness would only want to consume your cold nature instead of aid it. So I dug up this little treasure from my Vault, a precious gem I found in the Land of the Dead whilst trapped on the Niefelhiem Tundra."
From inside his vest Lucian removed a roughly dual pyramidal shape, pointed on either side with a total of eight facets. It simmered like ice in the bright moon light and steam like some clear form of dry ice floated off of it even in the nippy night air. At once Myst felt a bond to the item, it leeched the heat out of the air and Lucian's glove started to frost over. If he had the need for mortal circulation it would have been incredibly painful but instead he held it like a gemsmith to the moonlight gazing into it's refractory essence with wonderment.
Handing the gem to Myst her touch caused an entirely different thought process to coarse through her newly death attuned mind. She saw a blustery peak in a land where the sky had a green glowing sun and the waters were purple. Ice creaked and cracked all around her like in her homeland and she saw a cave not far ahead. A roar split the air and threatened to split the mountain as well. The first glimpse of a large reptilian head, scales as white as the snow that crunched beneath it's feet poked it's head out, fangs like icicles hung in it's gapping maw as antoher roar split the air. A snap of gloved fingers brough the icy hedgie back.
"Myst meet Gnolgia, Gnoglia meet Myst. If you can bend the serpent to your will your use to me will vastly improve as well as your chances of surviving the ages. Chat with your new business partner while I deal with the more mortal assoicates."
Lucian idly tossed his own Focus Stone back into the void where he'd plucked it and the rift healed on it's own. Going below deck on the small hover craft Lucian qued to Ivo's frequency and made his status report.
"Hail, Lord Ivo Robotnik, your hearld of the undead bids you good evening. At present we will arrive at your desired quardanants before moonrise the next night with the majority of my army in tow. What are your orders for our arrival?"
