"The answer to that question, Thunder, is teleportation.. a psionic technique that transports our physical matter from one place to another.. The Goddess and a few of her Vanguards also have this ability.. only in a greater capacity."
Said Amon, arriving in the couryard with Stealth not far behind. He gave an approving nod to CiCi and redirected his attention back to Thunder.
"My limitation is that I can only transport us one at a time.. any more than that and there is a chance of becoming trapped inbetween reality.. forever."
(ooc: Short post, I know. Best I could do tonight, will make better tomorrow.)

The worry on the feline's face slackens considerably when both the fox and hedgehog exit into the open area and rejoin the other heroes. There is a visible agitation, as if she is aching to get moving, and her tail twitches nervously as she listens to the few questions posed by Thunder and Psychosis' responses. Deciding to continue in her self-imposed leadership-type role she nods and then continues where the psionic had left off, "I think that it would be best for Amon to transport Thunder first to his base that he has so kindly offerred up to us... as long as you can be sure, Thunder, that it will hold up against the earthquakes and other problems. There is no reason to send ourselves to an early grave just by trying to find somewhere safe while we prepare ourselves."
She smiles and winks at the young hedgehog, trusting that he would not have mentioned the place if it was seemingly unsafe, "If you two get there and it seems dangerous, then just come back and we will decide to rally at another point. If not, then I will stay here in the Chaos Realm as Amon teleports Kuri to the base to get the medical attention needed. Stealth, perhaps you have some medical knowledge that may be of use... or Luminous? Whoever has the most medical knowledge should go next so that Kuri can get the help that she needs."
Satisfied with her decisions she shrugs nochalantly and gives her final instrustions, "Only when I am sure that everyone is safe and secure will I follow, no reason to leave anyone behind. So while you are all getting transported I will do a quick run around to ensure that no one is here before reaturning back to this spot. Sound good?"

Stealth just hissed silently and let out a low growl at the mention of going to thunders base. Like hell would he go back to that idots plan. He glared at thunder but quickly shot his eyes back to CC."Um wouldnty it be better to go back to civilization. How about Evergreen City. We could take kuri to the emergency rookm to get her wounds healed with the state of the art medical technology, and I bet the hunter corps wil lbe very abler and willing as hell to help us with supplies and manpower once we explain to them whats been going on, and to tel lyou the truth. I could use a cold one with all this hell going on."he sighed shaking his head.

Augustus never heard the blade sing through air, didn't even know it was so near until it sunk into the flesh of his back, a mere inch from his giant and realtively prone spine. The monks robes little protecton against the fierce weapon. Lurking to the side, the mighty bull still full of adrenaline crashes into a statue, it crumbles into black carbon powder, the semblance of what ever creature it might have been long gone into a pile of rubble. Getting his bearings and righting himself before Simon can continue down the hall and take another shot, the vanguard hobbles amongst the obsidian statues, their onyx bodies an excellent shield.
"So fitting a dark child to stab in the back, it's almost poetic."
Lost admist the statues Augustus voice rings off the high vaulted ceiling, making his position hard to pinpoint. Though it becomes obviously clear when General Bloodclaw carefully peered from the hallway in which the vanguard had just come from when a statue of a cat exploded into dusty shrapnel on the wall a foot or so from his head. Growling in pain, his injury strained by the throw the bull tramps about as quietly as he can, some where is something that's out of place, something unnatural, and there would be the gem. . .
Meanwhile; high above the Mobian Ocean, Lucian incognito and Myst make their way to the Eye of the Prophet on Apophis. It had taken some coaxing to get her on the giant mechanical lizard. But the cool jetstream of the high altitude a plesant change for the frosty hedgie in comparisson to the sweltering desert they'd just left behind. The vampires green eyes burned with ambition. Finally, the power source he needed to rise his army from the darkness once more!
Whilst elsewhere; in the Chaos Realm in the trophy room, a crack of lightning split the skies. Harsh weather being something of an anomoly to that heavenly realm it was odd indeed as that stroke of electricity struck the Trophy Hall and coursed through it's open roof. After striking a pedestal rather familar to those that had seen the final resting place of Syth the land was quiet and serene once more. There upon the white marble was a familar pile of blackened bones, inside the skull one of the sockets glowed red ever so briefly.
I thank you for your mercy Father, twould seem I have an arch-enemy now. . . .

Kurenai, though obviously irate at being helped like she was an invalid, did not stop CiCi from assiting her, knowing full well that she would end up mor of an hinderance if left to walk by herself. When they made it outside, the dhole gave the black-furred cat a small smile of thanks, slightly panting from the excursion. However, her small grin became grimmer as the feline gave her own explanation about the Goddess' where-abouts. As CiCi continued, explaining her plans once Amon and Stealth came, she nodded at the idea.
When Stealth interjected, she glared at him, and was very tempted at blowing a raspberry at him. "We can't go there." she said quickly. "Do you think anyone would actually believe us if we came in and asked for help against some sort of evil god bent on destroying his sister, the goddess of light? If you want to end up in a loony bin, go ahead! Thunder's base is the best we have at our disposial, unless it fell down due to an earthquake on earth, and I'm pretty sure you know it, too." The dhole, pushed off of CiCi gently, before standing on her own two feet, still glaring. "Our choices are vastly limited at this point, and we still have one of us missing, probally still somewhere in Downunda. You may have faith in your fellow troops, but thing about it - you didn't believe this when the Goddess first approached us. What makes you think the others will believe us!?"

"That's IT!" Smiling a bit, he looked over to the voice of Kuri, his eyes alight with an idea. "Amon, the healers over in Spades village may provide assistance with Kurunai's leg. Spade would more than likely want to be of assistance, and the village elder will know and understand what is happening." His smile fading a bit, he felt a sharp pain run once more through his chest, cringing a bit as he continued "I do know some ways to mend a break, so I will go and help in Kuri's recovery..."

CC looks over at Luminous, who had stayed oddly quiet through everything but had just exclaimed excitebly, with a bit of shock on her kind face. The shock melts away though as she listens to his idea and she nods appreciatively, smiling with very little effort now.
"That is a great idea! Not to put either you, Thunder or you, Stealth, down... but I think that this is a good compromise as not only will we be among people who, from the sounds of it will understand more about the situation than many others, but we will also regain another warrior of light to help us. Thank you Luminous"
She nods, mostly to herself, as the thoughts flit in and out of her head, "Alright, Amon, if you can transport Kuri first and then Luminous that would probably be best. After that Thunder and Stealth... I will continue on my plan to do a quick run around to see if there is anyone still here and I will rendezvous back here.
And guys," She says, looking pointedly at both Thunder and Stealth, "No matter what issues you have with eachother I have to ask you to do your best to put them aside for the moment. There are bigger problems about than your petty hate for eachother, so just stop it and work together for the time being. Once all is sorted then you can go back to hating eachother, hell, you can even fight to the death if it will make you feel better, but stop acting like large children, else we will just leave you out in the middle of nowhere."
She growls lightly at the both of them, as if to drive her point home and then looks over at Amon, "Alright, anytime you feel ready it would be good to start..."
___
The deathog's bones had disappeared before the lemur's vary eyes, but she had not seen for as the last embers died in paladin's orbs she had turned her attention to Shade, who was struggling to hold the dark one's powers at bay. She stood slowly, having to use her tail for balance as she threatened to fall over from the amount of blood lost and the bashes to her soft skull. She did not let this stop her though as she began to take steps towards the shadow.
They were unsteady at first and she had to stop once for she had to fight to keep herself from retching, so dizzy and so tired. She used the back of her still fleshy paw to wipe blood and sweat once more from her eyes and as she did she could feel her mangled forhead and the pain shooting through her head anew. It was the pain that kept her awake and going though and she used it to steady her pace and keep on towards the shadow.
"Another traitor... but with you I will not be so lenient..." she mutters, her voice venomous and her eyes glaring into the blackness of the shadowy turncoat.

Stealth rolled his eyes shooting another glare at the dhole. His shoadw side making much more.....prone to anger than before."Well EXUSE ME, someone hast been to evergreen much has she. The Hunter corps are a spec ops orginazation created by the EDF to deal with paranormal issues...geeze they might be the ONLY goverment orginazation to bleive us. I should know its the group IM from so DONT DISS it. ANd Also pup..the reason I didnt bleive is becuase..unlike alot of people in evergreen Im an atheist! The worship of aurua is the primary religon in evergreen hell we got one of the bigger cathedrals to her in the city. Now CC if your not going to Evergreen you guys can at least drop me off there. Im growing tired of being of a group I dotn feel a part of."He snapped the side of his face etched with black's eye started to glow red for a second. "I rather die here than go to downunda."
Simon just chuckled as the cat stature erupted into shrapnel as he slunk into the shadows of the room following the bovine via the sensitive scent the wolfs have as well as his hearing, for once in a logn while relighing on his more bestial traits than his technoligcal ones he could hear the light thunk of the bovines steps and the stench of chared flesh form the energy blade burning more flesh slicing down the bovines back as it remained in agustus. the wolf laughed silently to himself. This was getting to easy, but simon narrowed his good eye, still though it would be foolish and tacticly unsound to underestimate the vanguard now, after all the vanguards of auroa were a tough breed so silently he crept up behind the wounded bull hunting him in the shadowy treasure chamber, wanting to finish him off.

She could not help it, the shock was plain upon her kind face and she blinked a few times in disbelief as she looked upon the fox who she had seen as one of her friends, if only because of the other lives she may have had with him. The shock wears away to a deepening sadness as she walks up to the fox and puts a single paw upon his shoulder, "I had thought, my friend, that one of your experience and standing would feel a stronger bond towards those who he is to fight beside, regardless of belief system. I, for one, in this life, had never even heard of the Goddess, but that does not stop me from doing what I believe is right." CC weighs her next words carefully, seeing the darkness and anger in Stealth's eyes, staring into them unflinchingly, "The only reason that you do not feel a part of this group is by your own doing, and I hope that you see that... for you and your opinion are always welcome, no matter how they clash with that of the others here. You are a strong and competent fighter whos experience is an asset, but I am sure that we can respect your wish to be taken to Evergreen."
She squeezes his shoulder lightly and in a friendly matter before letting go, never taking her eyes from him, "But it saddens me that we shall part ways at this moment when we could do best by sticking together. But if it is your will, I will not stop you - and perhaps it will work out for the best, especially if you can help rally others."
Her voice is choked with emotion and she finally turns away, ashamed that by this small thing she is near brought to tears, something that had not happened since Dante had died. "I'm going to go check the area, Amon, I am sure you can contact me when you are ready to pick me up. Take care all of you, I will see you all, with the exception of Stealth, soon."

Stealth just looked away."Stupid cat...You know I rather be kicking demon ass, but in this chaos I have to think of my home and the millions that live there, I have a bad feeling something is going on there. I worried about it, people may not give a rats tail about me there.....just like everywhere else but its the closest thing I have to home and god help them if my old orphanage is destroyed. You expect me to turn my back on that, for a bunch of people that dont give a rats but aboutme toots?"he said, a hint of his sual bitterness in his voice.

The fox's words reach CC's keen ears and in mid stride she turns around to face him again. With a suprising speed considering that she had already spent so much energy in the day she whilrd at him, ducking low and springing up with her fist, putting her full body weight behind the uppercut so that it lands with a resounding crack upon Stealth's chin. His head flips back and when he regains his senses she stands before him in a fighting stance, eyes glowering and staring deep into his won. The anger in them, so unnatural for the feline, actually shakes the hardened warrior to the core for they seem to glow with an eerie green light. "You know, bugger off Stealth... you arrogant bastard," The words seethe with venom and emotion as she diverts precious energy to someone she considerred close, "You think that the entire world is against you and that there is no one around who cares, well you are wrong. You do have friends in this world, whether your self-absorbed brain believes it or not. You can go home, that is not what I have an issue with... but Goddess help you if you think that you can die believing that no one cares. 'Cause whether you like it or not, I care! For whatever reason I like you, think that you are a decent mobian and actually would feel good to have you by my side as we continue battling whatever is to come next. I hate seeing you in this state because it makes me wonder if there is any hope left in this world, and makes me wonder if I am wrong. I do not like doubting myself, there is no room for doubt in the life I have led."
Her voice quietens and she sighs, the anger receding, "You are not the only one who has had a hard life. I am not all happiness and light, I share the same darkness in my soul that you do, I just go about it and have accepted it in a different way. Remember that. You are not alone, nor will you ever be, for regardless of where you are there will be people out here who care and worry about your well being...
take care of yourself, fox"

Shade, in short, was in serious trouble.
With Aurora tied up with Syntaru, the Vanguards all kept busy elsewhere or here with Shadow Walkers, and his old friend banished away from the Plane of the Living the Shadow was all alone doing his best to hold the Shadow Queen's Powers in check. True, she was badly wounded, throughly mortal, and more than a little crazy at the moment but the deck still seemed stacked against him.
"You spit out traitor like it's some kind of insult, I was torn from the ether to do your master's bidding. No choice was given I in the matter of who I served until Vanguard Twilight ASKED me to. Spare your judgement of me girl, I never liked your master to begin with! Nor held any desire to do his babysitting of a lack luster queen so bent on service and being complete that if you TRUELY need some one else so badly to be full of life it says that you posess so little yourself. A glorified puppet, and I would know!"
Angering Tala at the moment probably wasn't the wisest course, but Shade could barely move with her powers raging against the Black Circle of Sealing that Paladin had cast earlier. The wards held but for how long it was tough to say, already Shade felt less real as the spell drained more and more of his essence. Time was running out and keeping the Shadow Queen busy until some one could help him was the ex-reaper's associates only option at the moment.

Post by Shae the Bat on Jul 11, 2006 17:15:23 GMT -5
It was Shae's time to make his move. The giant Demockstro was deep in contemplation over the event that had transpired. He could spare not another moment, the Gem had to be returned to Syntaru to bring him one step closer to a full revival. In a breeze Shae touch the base of the cold statue, the familliar crack and bang of the crumbling pieces shattered the near silent cackle of Demockstro's flames. As the ginat turned around, he would catch a glimpse of Shae, Gem in hand giving the demon a very, unflattering, gesture. And in no more than a few seconds, Shae had returned to the island.. Upon surveying the land, he watched as two Shadow Walkers battled Aries and Ishillar, as well Shade standing off against Tala.
And high above him in the swirling mass of black clouds, the source of the wicked storm, the battle between Goddess and Demon was waging hard. The enormous Kitsune Walker had Aries pinned to the ground with his foot, and was holding Aries' blade, despite the scalding Holy energy. As he readied to strike and end the hedgehog's afterlife, the second walker came crashing with a thud into the Kitsune. Aries' broadsword chunking into the groun only inches from his face. In a swift flip, Aries stood to his feet grabbing his sword once more. Whilst the Walkers were untagling themsleves from the crash, they had no chance to defend themselves. First, Aries struck the Kitsune, severing its head from its body.
The black inky form fading into dust and smoke. At the image of this, the Avian Walker struggled to staggar to her feet. But, as swift a manner as Aries had dismissed her partner, Ishillar had thrown a fury of daggars, teaming with Holy light downward, piercing through the tainted body, tearing through the fabric of her existence on this plain. Shet too, succumb to erradication, returning to the black empty hell that was The Void. Aries and Ishillar smirked at one another, a silent acknowledgement between warriors. That's when the silence was shattered by a horrifying scream of agony and anguish. The maimed and marred body of the Goddess came plummeting down to the dark ash and soot of the island. Ironically, falling right infront of Shae..
Soon after the Demon slowly hovered down to the ground, his arms crossed, stand in a dismissive pose. Defiant, cold, and arrogant to the last. He looked up to see Shae holding the second last Gem in his hands. Before anyone could speak a word Shae tossed the Gem towards Syntaru, catching it in his claws he absorbed the stone into his form. Nearly completely restored, his power grew exponentially, a raging dark flame encompassed his body and his eyes flared in a show of intimidation. His wings flapped, throwing a plume of black sand into the air. The battle had taken a turn in favor of darkness, and the heroes of the now fallen Goddess could do nothing more than watch. Even their best attempts to stave off the rebirth of this great evil, they have failed.. The Vanguards, the Mortal Warriors.. the blackest day in history was only just beginning.
