Paladin walked out into the Chaos realm. It was as beautiful in real life as it was in the chamber. And while the landscape had not altered in any way looking threw his eyes reborn was a refreshing experience. The trees, the grassy medows, and tree filled gnolls, all growing in harmony to the the tune of Aurora's will.
It was then that the deathog reborn saw a mighty bull wearing the clothes of a humble monk. Ironic indeed that a creature so strong, masculine, and just plain aggressive should play the role of humble servant to the Goddess.
Remembering well his dealings with Augustus, Paladin crept up on the mighty bull. With a high leap into the air the deathog did a midair summersalt. Much to the great one's surprise it suddenly had a crimson eyed new comer hanging from his head adornments.
"Aw poor Uncle Auggie, even in death I can 'take the bull by the horns!"
The deathog swung back away from the surprised bovine and dipped into a bow. The newcomer had shocked Augustus but he mannerism and the monicer 'Uncle Auggie' had prompted memories that he knew this deathog from before.
Meanwhile; Lucian had decended far further than he had thought was necessary. Being a creature of unlife being underneath the earth was not unsettling to the vampire. Hell, it felt down right comfy. How mortals and their sky craving ways could sleep at night with out a few tones of soil above their heads always gave the undeadite pause for thought.
Shaking away the unusual line of thinking the bloodsucker and robotic compatriot at last shuddered to a stop. A steep decline led the two down to a very high tech lab, the likes of which rivaled only the ones Lucian wasn't supposed to have gone in or even know about back in Robotropolis proper.
Four tall statis tubes, thick with frost and rime took up the majority of the wall not lined with humming machinery and bubbling chemicals. For containers hold being of immense power, destructive power. Their very omni-destructive essences held in check by the robotic failsafes set in place by the good doctor.
Vampire looked at robot, robot looked at vampire. A mixed feeling of being out numbered and out class suddenly splashed across them both. And Lucian started backing out of the room toward the elevator.

Taken aback by the sudden shock of the strange dangling hedgehog from his horns, Augustus shook his head. The hedgehog fell to his feet, bowing in greeting. The calling out of 'Uncle Auggie' instantly gave wind to who he was now staring at.
"Murr? Syth, is that you? What are you doing here.. I thought you were still in the service of your Father, Thanatos, yet here you stand before your 'Uncle' dressed in the garment of a Vanguard.." said Augustus, confused beyond any belief.
Indeed Augustus remembered Syth, for ages after he had become a Vanguard and the server between Aurora and Thanatos, he would often visit with the young Deathog to check in on his training. And now, the young one had grown up and was a member of the court.

The deathog pulled back his cloaks cowel and smiled wide at the bull, a faint thing from his ealier years in child hood many millenia removed from the present.
"It has been a long time old aquaintance. And for the record I serve my 'Father' no longer, though I still consider myself to be his 'Son'. After discovering my own limitations in the war with Syntaru I offered up my serviced to Lady Aurora in return for her blessing.
I just got finished being reconstructed and was testing out the new body when I spotted your familar form and thought I'd say hello. Let me tell you, it's great to be healthy again. I had spent so many years on the verge of unlife that now that I have a full body back it feels great. Oh if only Father could see me n. . . ."
The deathog cut off, a sudden chill running up and down Paladin's spine. It would seem his surrogate father had heard him, or was close enough to hear him. A sudden look of apprehension washed over the red eye youth's face. It would seem his ascension was not with out cost to his guardian's situation.

The bull grunted a bit, a rush of air flowing through his large nostrils, catching the shiver of the former Deathog. It was apparent that something familiar had made its presence known, and Augustus had a pretty good idea who it was..
"Relax, even if he is here, he cannot do anything.. this realm is protected from fellow Gods taking any physical actions against our Lady Aurora.. shame it couldn't work on those posessed by the shadow, like Orion.. but enough of that.. what service has the Goddess appointed you, Syth?" asked the bull, crossing his arms and huffing a bit.
Eggman, meanwhile, was flying higher and higher above Mobius, settling in orbit aroun dthe planet. A few CommandBots, SwatBots and EggBots made up the crew. In the Cargo bays, half-completed experiments, a hoard of munitions and a few hundred crates of data discs made up the floor space. Eggman was now an observer, and solely that, until Project Guardians was activated.

Paladin relaxed visably but even then he remained alert. One didn't 'survive' in the Land of the Dead for ages on end with out staying on your guard. Even confident in his new outlook on eternity he was quite positive he couldn't fend off Daddy Dearest with his current level and competentcy of power.
"I am Paladin Twilight, Judicator of the Mortal Coil. I will act as the aggressive arm of Lady Aurora's campaign against the darkness. Judge, Jury, and Exicutioner for those that would transgress on the light. Sad indeed it is a world where her holiness needs a Champion to cut a swath through those that would upset the ballence but a need was there and I plan to fill it.
That being said, I should probably arm myself soon. Goddess knows when I'll be dispatched with the other Warriors of Light and with out my previous tool of office these two hands would be lacking weapons indeed against the tides of darkness sweeping the land. . .
At any rate, please, if you and the others would simply call me Paladin or Vanguard Twilight. I would appreciate it if the others thought of me simply as a member of Aurora's court than as the Grim Reaper's only begotten son. I've seperated myself from my past, and wish it to haunt me no longer. . . ."

A crashing sound alerted Halo that he would have to move quickly, standing covered in blood even if it was his own could and usually did raise far too many questions. Quickly pulling down the alleys he quickly made his way from shadow to shadow, only darting out into the light for brief moments and quickly slipping back into the darkness. The young echidna soon found what he was looking for, a public restroom and he headed inside. Looking around for a few moments to ensure he was alone he walked over to the sinks and turned on the water. The vampire started to wash the blood of his fur, trying as best he could to uncover the pure white colour of it.
Splashing some more water onto his muzzle he wiped the blood off his face and then pulled off his wrists blades as well to clean himself up more. His lifestyle left him without many simple things such as been unable to clean himself often let alone able properly. Adding hot water into the flow he looked down at his scar covered wrists normally hidden by the blades. Staring at them for a few moments he shook his head remembering where he was, what he was doing and how little time he had to do it.
In a few minutes the water was turned off and Halo looked down at his now semi clean fur, it wasn’t best but at least the blood and some of the dirt was now gone from his face and arms. Licking his lips he pulled back on the wrist blades again and then a few handfuls of paper towels to dry himself off. “I can dry off in the su...” He sighed shaking his head from side to side and pulling his hand into a fist. Closing his eyes he walked out of the restroom his face down to the ground not caring right now where he was walking.

(OoC: Just to make it clear, Shae and I talked about this post, so I have permission to have Myst go this route.)
Myst had been wandering around the Ice Cap Zone for a while now. She'd been searching for the source of the explosions she'd heard days ago. Not much really happens out in the barron tundra of the Ice Cap, so her curiosity had taken over her judgement.
"I never thought I'd see the day that I got lost in the Ice Cap zone... ~sigh.. hmm?" she said, stopping when she spied a strange structure off in the distance. "What could that be?"
The blue and white hedgie made her way through the soft powder snow, running at her best speed until she came to a screeching halt that blew a wall of snow ahead of her. She gazed in awe at a glowing blue temple.. it looked to be made of pure ice.
"That's strange.. I've never seen this place before.. I wonder what it could be for.. there aren't really any indigenous tribes to the Ice Cap Zone." she said walking closer to the temple steps. "Well, only way to find out is to do some exploring.. better be careful though.."
She made her way inside the grand ice temple, which shone in a crystal glow. A tinge of blue made walls and stair more visible and the blocks of ice less transparent. She walked along the walls trying to avoid anything that would look like a switch for a booby-trap. The long winding halls brought her deeper and deeper inside.
She arrived in a grand hall, the only pure stone room in the whole structure. In the center was a strange looking statue of pure carbon that resembled a demonic looking eagle.
~shivers "Ooh hooo... that thing gives me the creeps.. but.. I wonder what it's doing here and who put it here?" she said reaching her hand out to touch the smooth surface. "I.. I feel kinda.. stra-"
A bright red energy burst out from the statue, knocking Myst back and onto the ground. When she came to, she saw a strange floating crystal. Getting up on her feet agin, she grabbed it from the air and stared at it for a while. She placed it in her pocket and ran out of the chilling temple.

"I will be sure to pass the word along to the rest of the court, Sy- I mean Twilight, you will be welcomed and treated as any of our brethren, may our Lady watch over you in your exploits.. the grand war is just begining, and the final end will be hard faught. said the bull, bowing to the newly appointed Judicator.
He took his leave with a wave and went about his business, recording the newest arriving souls. Elsewhere the shadowy form of Syntaru manifested itself to Legion in Eggman's control room.
"Well done, Simon.. you have indeed done what I have asked.. though the Eggman still lives, he is no longer a prominent threat to us, and without a leader, Apophis and the Vampire will fall in due time so long as they are isolated.. you must be sure to thank that Judas of a son to Eggman, Gulo if you ever see him.. for it was he who lowered the Robotropolis shields.." said the Demon. "Be on the ready to move however, I have a great task for you and the others to complete.. it involves the SoulGem shards.. we have three.. we need the other ten.. and unfortuneatly, an interloper has gained one without knowledge of what it truly is.. but I will tend to her.. when I return, I will instruct you further.."
The shadowy essence left the command room and Legion. Deep in the pit of the Void, Syntaru clacked his claws against his black throne. Plotting his next move, and ways to manipulate the young hedgehog that had uncovered the shard in Ice Cap.

The lemur had been had, and for the first time in a very long time she felt herself frustrated beyond any belieft towards her stupidity and her weakness that she had supposedly given up. But, her pouting only lasted a few moments and she stood up with only a slight grown and looked over her body in a quick check up. She was only slightly singed and soar in quite a few places, the blast had done nothing more than to bruise her and burn her a bit, but she was used to pain and burns and already she could feel herself healing... another bonus to the new powers she had gained. The bat had been right and it had been a very important lesson for her to learn, she was never beneath learning lessons. But neither would she forget that Shae had taken her not once but multiple times in their little practice, she had learnt much in a short amount of time and she would not make the same mistakes again.
Taking a deep breath in she concentrated on the shadows and drew the into her, feeling the power course through her veins and even through her very soul. A dark fire had been lit behind her eyes and she nodded solemnly. She would not fail her lord, and there was much to do before he would be fully restored. Tala continued to draw the energy into he rself, becoming one with the shadows in a way that she had never before, she submit herself fully to them and yet was their mistress. She found that she had closed her eyes and when she opened them she saw that dusk had settled upon the lands. Dark energy swirled around her, carressed her fur and cleared her mind. She was driven by a burning desire to see Syntaru brought back fully into this world and she would stop at nothing to see it happen.
No longer was she the pathetic being full of weakness, she was the darkness and the shadows were at her every command, she had not understood that fully until this moment. With a deep breath in she melted into the shadows, unti nothing stood upon the craterred mountain top and the cold wind blew harmlessly over, spreading a chill over the land.

CC followed Psychosis to the table and sat down, wiping a few remaining tears from her eyes. There was a single long table with many place settings and food of every sort was situated upon the cloth. The food smelled fresh and wholesome, a better meal than the cat had partaken of in a very long time. She looks up at the hedgehog and smiles cheerfully, "Well, I am sure that many interesting things happened in those chambers, if my experience was any indication... you look - I don't know... not as distracted as you were when you came to pick me up and perhaps even a bit happier."
She giggle slightly and winks at Psychosis, "I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours..." She scrinches her nose and tries not to start laughing again at the slight change of familiar phrase that she used, she was in a very good mood, partially from the overall feeling of the place and partly because of the discovery of her powers. There was something else though, behind her eyes, a concern of sorts in regards to the hedgehog in front of her and as much as she tried to hide it, it would not go away from the eyes that would tell all.

Paladin bowed respectfully once more to his old business associate and made his way back to the palace proper. The other guests would no doubt be readying themselves for the upcoming onslaught and he himself had work to do.
Passing the cafeteria with out drawing attention to himself, Twilight made his journey to the Vault of Ages. Entombed here were some of the strongest weapons, knowledge, and items the light had to offer. Often filled by offerings of great power to the Goddess, the VoA was a storehouse of magical might.
After politely consulting with one of the interns they pointed him in the direction of Armory section. Row after row of glass case clad weapons filled the deathog's vision as far as it's fairly distant guage would allow. Reading off the plagues with ease, despite their being written in a language that hadn't been used on mobius in many centuries he finally came to the one display that held Inter Canem Et Lupum, the Twilight Glaive.
The cases were warded against theives, under the assumption that one day darklings might find their way into the Chaos Realm. But the blade knew it's master and responded by floating towards Paladin's hand through the clear glass like substance that had imprisoned the blade. But an odd thing happened.
A white fire ran from blade tip to staff butt and while it did not burn the deathog it certainly startled him. In shock he dropped the weapon and when he looked down at the item that had hit the marble floor and rolled a few feet away all that was left was a simple wooden staff.
Cursing himself for his foolishes, Syth stowed the staff on his back in the style of a monk. He should have known that his soul wasn't strong enough yet to support the weapon's existance in the real world yet. Only time and practice would allow the deathog to unlock the blades true potential. For now, it would make a decent tool of defense and a walking stick.
Meanwhile; Lucian and Duro were slowly backing out of the four capsuled chamber. Small wonder indeed why the vampire was retreating. Wounded, out numbered, and outgunned set off every alarm in the undeadite's head. And it was with haste not poise that Lucian tapped the button to go back up. Though this trip was not spent in silence.
"I don't know what your sensors can pick up but those four gave me the bloody creeps. And I'M 'something that goes bump in the night' damn it!"
"Sqweaaaak. I couldn't detect much with out inputing my system into the local hardware but just by observational status alone I would be hard pressed to take on two or more of those. . . things. . . at one time even in top condition."
"Then let's get the hell out of this bubble before what ever 'they' are wakes up and decides to test their abilites or opt to be hungry. There's got to be a bloody energy source that's sustaining the eggshields. Nothing that strong is self-sufficent nor could Robotnik afford to run a mainline power cord all the way from the capital."
"Affirmative, there is a shield generator on the far side of the compound camoflaged by some rocks. Destroying the generator would free us but also free what ever is in this base. . .and leave the base undefended as all combat drones were destroyed in the initial assult we failed to hault."
"We didn't fail. We could never have won, that was a battle that we were destined to loose. But payback is a bitch, and while I'm not sure you can appreciate the subtle nuances of revenge I assure you this undertaking will be sweet indeed."
"Quite the contrary, Master. Lord Ivo has revenge circuits hardwired into all modles with above average sentince. Something having to do with a certain azure rodent that perished many years ago."
Chortling to the robot, Lucian left the Aegis Base in search of the shield generator. And heaven help the nearest town or village, for a black tide of death was about to be loosed from it's prison and that wave of destruction and darkness was quite famished.

Stealth grunted and snarled at Thunder. "Watch it hedgepig I bet your getting fewer brownie points around here than I am with your arrogance." He muttered walking away and back to the tiger goddess statue sitting under its shadow giving his blade a few experimental slashes through the air. smirking as it hissed. all the while he picked up the turkey leg and began to eat from it.
Simon blinked and nodded. "Yes Syntaru my lord I will be ready for further instructions." He said before getting to work, reprogramming via airwaves the remaining robots and factories soon not only neo Swats and neo Shoguns pumped off the assembly lines but soon shells of Hydras could be seen, meanwhile reprogrammed Swatbots began to clear out the buildings looking for remaining Egg sympathisers..

Thunder only made a face at Stealth as he left. Stealth, as far as he was concerned, was a just a militant dog, constantly stuck on his one-sided ideals.
"Still as bitchy as ever." Thunder growled. "Hey, that reminds me, does anyone know how goddess Aurora is doing? Has her condition changed?"

(OoC: Don't you even read the posts Spyn? Shae posted that Aurora pulled everyone out of that chamber, which means she was standing there when everyone came out.. pay a little attention.)
Myst wandered back through the snowy plains of the Ice Cap zone. Trudging on to her small outpost near the coast. It would take any normal traveler a while to traverse the terrain, but Myst was no normal traveler. She had an incredible ability with the snow and ice, so crossing the frozen desert was an easy task. Her mind kept trailing back to that odd gem she'd found inside the statue.
-I wonder what it could be.. that strange temple.. I heard stories as a child of a celestial temple holding a great treasure.. but I thought it was just that.. a story.. could the Lady of Light have built that place?- she thought, continuing on through the snow. Her thinking following on the same track. Before long, she had reached her outpost, once inside she set the strange gem on her desk.
This outpost had once belonged to a group of explorers from down the ocean. Papers and files referenced a place called Westopolis, but she didn't know much else. There was a small kitchenette, a bathing room, a bed and the desk. As well some other strange machines that she couldn't make sense of. Technology was very limited in the settlement she'd been raised in. She hopped in her bed and began to relax. Her arms behind her pillow, holding it and her head up. She stared at the ceiling a while before dozing off. She began dreaming, her mind racing with the day's events and the possibilities in that temple.
