The dark cybernetic wolf stopped and snorted as his crimson eye blazed for a second. He glanced back and illuminated the area behind him in a bloody light. "You might as well come out. You might be good agisnt the naked eye. But agisnt sensors that detect bio kenetic energy, magic, and even infrared and metalics. Hididng in the shadows wont get you far madam." he said in a calm icy voice, that yet also had an air of arrogant sopistication to him.
Stealth hiss and growled staring up at paladin his pupils glowing red as he was hissing in pain as dark and light tendrils seemed to weave through his soul and manifesting on his psyical form in a spider web pattern of black markings seemed to draw up his left arm starting at his fingertips and too his shoulders. On his other arm a simmiler patern was forming this one of white markings. "What did ...that....chamber...do...that.....lemur...do.....WHATS GOING ON!"he cried out as his dark and light half of his souls were fusing to his focal soul. Black streats started to form in his naturaly siilver hair as his pupils seemd to blaze red. His bangs stayed white though.

It would appear by all visual portrayals that the fox was either going mad or overloading. Being mortal, and still alive, the vanguard was unsure what might happen if he perished, violently and all over the place here in a land were everything was constructed of spirit energy. Casting aside his staff/makeshift cane, Twilight withdrew his pouch of black carbon powder and begun to chant once more.
"SANCTUS OBSIDIO! SANCTUS OBSIDIO! SANCTUS OBSIDIO!"
Casting the powder down and taking a step forward, the black ring of sealing manifested into reality, only with the deathog on the inside. Cursing himself a moment later for leaving his only weapon outside the circle, Paladin braced himself for the foxes possible attack. Not without mercy for the bezerk biped but with little sympathy the deathog clenched his wounded hands and in a calm voice called out to Stealth.
"Alright Mr. Greyblade, you need to tone it down some. If you keep going like this it'll tear your mortal shell apart. Power down. . slowly."

There was a sly figure sifting a path of its own through a back alley of Casinopolis, the type of mugger that most men never think of when walking down the street. The general mentality was that it would never happen to them, but some unlucky soul this night would think otherwise. A well-dressed man and a stunning lady companion of no-less quality were walking their way home after an evening of dinner and delight, obvious smiles on both of their happy faces. It looked as good as any claim. The desperate were not picky. As the couple approached a seemingly out of place street light, he sprung his attack.
Only, the would-be crook stopped in mid knife thrust. It had been five more years since the conversation in the long-forgotten name of the Casino that Andre had argued with Vyse in, but it still stood fresh in his mind. Now here he was, a man of twenty five with a five o' clock shadow face and awkwardly cut hair, wearing nothing more than a few rags and soiled underwear. Andre's dimly lit eyes of now-bronze widened at facing the man who he had put an end to five years ago. Vyse stood there in the same suit that he had worn at the Casino, with the same face, the same hair, the same eyes, and the same damn hat. It seemed as if he had not lost a day of age since that dreadful moment. "I... I don't... I don't understand. You should be dead."
The man known as Vyse only stood there and watched, with a frown that could have rivaled Death's usual scowl. His brilliant red eyes swirled with ribbons of violet inside them, that might have reminded one of the Norse God Loki if not for the colors. His female companion had shrieked beforehand, clutching onto Vyse's sleeve and nearly fainting as expected in this situation. "You look just like the day I picked you up off the streets." This insult left Andre with a stunned look, and he snapped again just like he did the day he'd last seen Vyse. A weak mentality of bloodlust came over him, and he lost all care of who this person was, he just wanted him dead. Andre gave something of a beastly snarl and rushed at Vyse, thrusting forward the knife in his right hand in an odd attempt at a lunge for Vyse's heart with brutal direction.
Andre's friend of the past uttered something incoherent before stumbling backwards, the lady he had been courting forsaking this situation and dashing off somewhere in blind fear. The two braced themself in an upright position of leaning slightly with neither of them moving. It stayed that way for a long time until Vyse took it upon himself to set his hand on Andre's knife with little more than an aggitated sigh. "Why don't you die?" Andre groaned out, shoving the knife in harder in an attempt to ensure victory. "I don't understand..." A grim smile on the lips of that which was more than it appeared to be. "I don't understand..." The desperate man uttered as he withdrew his blade, cutting Vyse's gloved hands in the process. He stumbled backwards, tripping on himself under the blaring light of the street lamp. Andre heard the footsteps approaching him, but he was enthralled with his own bloodless weapon. There should have been blood. There should! "I don't understand!"
The scene faded from Andre's mind with his last words being engulfed in the sound of a cash register's bell. He turned a page to the next memory in his story.

Stealth looked up at the paladin Crimson eyes filled with confusion staring up into the deathogs own crimson globes. The fox stayed silent but grimmaced as the white and balck markings moved up his body and met on his chest wich could be seen since his shirt was stil lragged fro mthe fight.
Stealth could only shake his head and whimpered as another flash of icy cold stabbed through his being. All he did was relax and sudenly this happend. Yet strangly he felt this was right. Mabey...he could control this darkness..if given the chance.
"N..n..no Let me......AHH....give...this...a..chance....mabey this is that....AHH! chambers doing."he gasped grabbing his side as his pupils returned balck but his iris changed slwoly from ice blue to crimson.

He understood now. Stealth held power within him, but only with both halves acted as one. Lum watched as the shadow and light fused together inside Stealth, seeing only what few could see.: The actual powers binding to him....Paladin was right, this could tear Stealth in half, but in a sense, it was necessary. Walking to Stealth, he set a calm hand on his right shoulder, looking towards Paladin. "Twilight, this is Stealths true power. The ability of both shadow and light. Allow him to try and accept this power. If anything goes wrong, I will accept the responsibities and punishment for it." Looking towards Stealth, he nodded. "Stay calm yet vigilant, warrior, and accept the powers that has been given....become one with both shadow and light and be reborn...."

Still the changes went on, and whilst the deathog could fully feel the raw feral power oozing from inside the restriction ring he doubted very much that the others could feel this mixture of blessing and curse coursing through the air. The Vanguards very corpreal spirit hairs rose and fell with the fluctuating ebb and flow of the foxes transformation.
"As noble a thing it twould be to take the blame for what ever catastrophy. . . . .may befall my homeland, mortal, you are a visitor and low. . . . . . .on the rung of power at the moment. So while your wish is a. . . . . . just one it is most. . .unrealistic to hold you to. . .so hold your tongue!"
Even partially rested Paladin was staining to maintain the field. All the running about as well as testing the restriction ring earlier had been a drain on his already weakened powers. And with Stealth showing no emminent sign of stopping or going critical Vanguard Twilight gritted his teeth and road the storm.

The feline's ears twitches slightly as she watched goings on with ready and curious eyes, her muscles were tensed and she was ready to spring into action wherever she was needed, but though things were dramatic nothing explosive was happening and it seemed as if the fox was almost getting things under control. The Vangaurd Paladin, on the other paw, was not looking so hot and by his staggerred speach the feline began to wonder how he and the others had faired through their missions.
Perhaps she and Amon were not the only ones who had failed.
With steady and sure steps she walks silently over to Twilight, keeping her green eyes on the fox lest he do something dangerous at any moment. Within seconds she comes across a barrier of sorts and she stops at it, suprised for a moment. It is not a thorough barrier though, as the good in her was strong and she pushes through gently, feeling the energy crackle around her, making her very fur stand on end. She had a purpose and she was not about to stop, partial stubborness showing through due to her earlier upsets and wanting to do something rather than just stand around. Now at Paldin's side and she places a black furred paw upon his shoulder, whispering so that only he could hear, "No disrespect meant, but if you need, lean on me - I may as well be of help somehow, even if it means just offering a shouler..."
___
Tala steps out of the shadows and into the damp dark of the hall, bowing her head towards Legion slightly out of respect for his sensing her, though she still keeps her wary stance, unsure of what it was that brough the wolf to the black tunnels. "I had heard of some of your... ability with machinery. I am not one to disregard safety when approaching others and I thought it prudent to also test you in the meanwhile. I am impressed by your machinery" -but not your tone- she thought in her mind.
The lemur studies the wolf in front of her with a passive face, he reeked of arrogance, but that could be a downfall of his in the future and she filed that away in the back of her mind. She motioned with her robotic arm down a side passage way, "If you wish to sit and perhaps speak on the matter of your appearance here I would be interested in listening... though if you wish to continue wandering I would be your guide" The last is not a suggestion but a matter of fact and the lemur states it clearly in a steady and strong voice.

Stealth groaned and grabbed his head as his rirses became a deep crimson as sahdow and light freed fro mthe confinemnts of his soul, broken by the experincecs of the chamber flowed out into his being. Sharp icy daggers of pain flew through him as the usualy opposing forces tried to kmerg and cooperate. Indeed if he didnt find a point of focus and control the storm inside He could very well be split apart. But what could he use to focus? A good memory? mostly pain and conflict in his life. The voice of a freind or loved. he thought he had no living freidns or loved ones. he could only rely on himself So stealth could only growl and try to will the powers from pulling him into fox shreds..
Simon gave her a breif nod in respect to the lemur notting her arm"Well maddam.....Tala is it not.......Ive heard about you from Syntarus words...I would be delited to sit down for a small chat if you desire. I find it almost...pleasent to find out I am not the only cyborg in the mountain. We might even exchange maintence tips hmm?" the wolf said with a cold laugh as the crimson light bathed the musty hallway. "But if you desire to know why Im here...Im on stand by upon orders of syntaru..at least till the demons get back . though I might contact robotroplis soon. I hope felis has doen well with the city He is a strong and capalbe man, good enough to keep control after I conquered eggmans empire. "he said with a smirk. "But I degress I guess The reson I am in this mountain as well is beucase of my success full mission of retireving the soul gem from azure island...and syntaru seemed please with what I did to the pathtic warrior of the goddess that tried to impeed my path...it was a rather.......bloody misteak on his part."

Private First Class Simmons was making good time. She was already at the southern most penninsula of the Shifting Sands Zone and it had only taken her two days. Having to stop a few times and refuel from the cannisters in the back of the land rover the base that would take her to Robotropolis, or rather Legion's New Home would be with in her grasp in the hour.
Then again, when you drive with no regard to your own personal saftey it's amazing what you can accomplish.
The young private hadn't slept in three days, and only drank water so she could see clearly enough in the arid desert or continue to draw breath into her dried out lungs. A wrapped box of rations sat untouched even though the womans stomach rumbled continueously. So was she driven, moving with out care to personal welfare, so was driven to the brink of insanity and pushed over.
Meanwhile; Lucian sat upon his ebony throne, four of the scouts were looking fairly alright. Well, considering as how he had to piece together four out of the five he started with. But once he had all the pieces put together in a fairly pellmell fashion they bonded with a little undead energy and shuffled about true to their ghoul nature.
"Well, not the prettiest creatures to begin in my Court, but I can rebuild the harem after I ensure this continent is mine. . ."
The black seat in which Lucian sat hummed and shifted alittle, like some sort of perverted purring. Letting a deceptively effeminate hand down to stroke the arm rest is purred louder.
"Yes, yes my pet you wish to see about of action too. You missed your Master, didn't you Crucio! Didn't you! Well, let us go down and check on Apophis, undoubtedly it is growing weary of having to wait. Heh, funny, that's the second dragon I've kept down there."
As if heading his call the stone throne shifted again and the vampire slipped out of it like a slide. Touching down lightly on the heavily rune scored floor the undead beckoned his new minions wait and motioned for his stone pet to follow. Making their way to an ornate green stone with various crystals inlaid it was roughly ten feet by twenty feet wide. Just enough room for the pompous vampire and it's mindless minion. Tapping a few of the crystals in a sequence that only made sense to the undead, the rock that was actually an elevator slowly sunk down into a large shaft cut to almost the exact size of the rock. After some boring moments of stoney quiet, a large cavern with a high vaulted ceiling slowly sunk into view.

Utterly defeated and not knowing where else within the room to look, Kuri sighed and leaned her body against the carbon statue in the center of the room. As soon as her flesh touched it, however, a bright, blinding red stream of energy shot forth from the statue, startling the dhole so badly that she moved instinctively back, paw shielding her eyes from the light.
When it finally subsided, she gave an awed gasp, seeing what, she assumed, was the crystal she and Spade where sent to find, floating in mid-air where the statue once was. Cautiously, she walked back towards the now decimated statue, and grabbed the crystal, feeling a surge of something flow through her body, something negative and overwhelming. Kuri was lost in the helpless feeling that had taken over and overwhelmed her; it was a miracle in herself that she was able to keep a somewhat-firm grip on the crystal, keeping the gem from falling from her grasp.

This was not good.. it would seem Shade's plan would require some restructuring.. the resulting surge of dark energy caused the Dhole's body to stiffen, making a tight grip around the Gem. This would not do, Shade had to do something drastic in order to complete his mission.. and in a swift move, the ShadowHog dove down, grabbed the dhole, tore open a Shadow Hole and escaped back to Mt. Kahkari, leaving the Koala behind, alone. Mere moments later, Shade, with captive Dhole in arm, appeared in Syntaru's chamber.
Bowing to a knee, holding the Dhole in a quick binding spell, Shade explained his actions.
"I am sorry my Lord, but being a Shadow, I could not dispell the Carbon statue.. I had to rely on this young heroine to deactivate its hold.. but she did not react the way I had expected to the energy surge.. instead of being tossed aside, she tood her ground and stiffened her form.. locking tight the Gem in her paw.." said Shade, slowly backing away, his head hung down.
Syntaru's eyes blazed in a wash of anger, which subsided, this turn of events was no falter from their path.. it would nnot be hard to extract the Gem from the Dhole and dispose of her.
"It is acceptable, Shade, the Goddess' has become more resilliant, so hiccups were to be expected.. but now that the bulk of her forces are incapacitated or diminished in number.. we should have no problems recovering the last of the Gems.. leave my chambers.. inform the others that the 8th gem has been recoverd, that only 5 remain.. I will summon you all back once I have sermised a plan.. leave the Dhole to me.." said the Demon.
Shade bowed and turned to leave the chamber. He navigated through the cavern halls, making his way to the crypt where Legion and Tala were conversing..
"Our Lord has recovered the 8th SoulGem shard as a result of my efforts in Downunda, he sends word that once he has developped a strategy, he will summon you to the chamber, have either of you seen Andre or Shae? I must also relay this news to them." said Shade, coldly, awaiting a response.
Back in the chamber, Syntaru was eyeing this young Dhole. Crackles of the dark energy still shooting around her form.
"You are no ordinary mortal.. no.. you have spent a period in the Chamber of Time.. yes.. I suspect the other warriors did too.. the Goddess places too much faith in the mortal coil.. it was her mistake in the Delta Universe, it was her mistake in the Omega Universe and it is her mistake here.. regardless of any defeats in those old realms.. her faith is her downfall.. you mortals.. you're nothing but a plague upon the Universes.. the darkness in your hearts, I did not put it there.. it has been there since your infestuous beginnings.. I merely awaken it, manipulate it.. FEED it.. what I attempt to do is bring an order to the Chaos that you mortals and my Holy Sister.. under my ascension there would be unity.. peace of sorts.. yet you fight me with every iota of your existence.. I am not going to bother convincing you to join sides with me.. if I were in state of disadvantage, I'd consider it.. but I no longer need such indirect tactics.. I'll be taking that shard now.. Kurenai.." said the Demon, his clawed hand reaching out to the Dhole, coarsing his shadow energy through her body, weakening her hold.
The pain was unimagineable, and eventually, the Dhole would pass out, dropping the Gem to the floor. When she did, Syntaru drew the Gem shard into himself, regaining even more of his strength. His body becoming even more whole, the ethereal shadow mists fading slightly more. Indeed the dark hour of ascension was at hand.. soon the Apostles would traverse Mobius and recover the final shards, and Syntaru would be reborn into the universe. He would destroy the Goddess and all her precious warriors.. then enslave the darkness of all beings creating a perfect regime that would allow him to conrtol the other Universes. Prime would only be the first to fall under a new Empire of Darkness..
And as it was written: In the 3rd millenium after the evolution of man and beast on Mobius Prime, the great evil known as The Prophet would rise into being once more. His shadow would stretch through the realms and blanket the Universe with his power, corrupting the hearts and souls of the infinite masses. The light would be destroyed and his order would be eternal. Those that could stop him will have been turned from their charges to follow his will. The chiroptera Orion would become he that would serve on the right of his throne.. and she that was Tala will become his Queen, sitting to the left of his throne as Mother of the Shadows.
For it is written so in the Prophecy of Khlahal, so shall it come to pass...
(OOC: See A.o.M. Thus Far for details on next chapter.)
