The Shadow Walker had lain there for some time after the Goddess came back with her answer. True to her word, he could feel his body again. He was back in control. Andre slowly climbed up to his feet to flex his claws as if they had been asleep for ages. The giant took his dear sweet time in recovering, for he had all the time in the world now that he had his answer. The only feeling that irked him was if Syntaru would ever consider his debt repayed...
Valke could not catch one word of what was going on. He was left stranded with a now-standing threat that could burn him to oblivion by just standing next to him. There were two options left for him: Stand, fight, and most likely die. Or... Running away to the near outpost he knew existed. This was Mercia, and it wasn't anyday you saw a sea of green to confirm it. The youth muttered a slang curse under his breath and started running as fast as he could.
... Andre was not oblivious to this. He was not all in a sane state of mind after being refused his offer until later notice. How would she ever win if she played by the rules?! It was something he did not yet understand. The giant passed a hand over his exposed face, and his trademark mask appeared as his hand wavered over. A moment had not passed after that he stood in front of the fleeing Valke too quick to be seen by the mortal eye. All Valke could do was yelp in excitement as he was hoisted just off the ground. "My apologies, young one. But it appears as though you are to be the vent to which my anger will flow through. Goodbye." The blond haired kid could not saying anything as he was suddenly hurled into the air at an incredible rate. To wherever he was headed he obviously could not tell. Hopefully it would be some place soft.
Andre Demockstro sighed a grevious sigh. He had work to do, and a master to toil for. For now.

Straightening his very visable spine a terrible through suddenly took ahold of Syth. What if his love came back and saw him in this manner? What would she think of this living monster with out office, power, or flesh? The deathog's mind went in deep, recalling the fond smile of his catgirl associate. She was off traversing the planes, while so similar to Cici Prime his Cici was long since removed from reality. Yes, it had been ages but time moved differently for the dead.
For all he knew while the centuries that turned for him only a few months or a few years may have happend for Ms. Tomicat. The thought both warmed and sickened him. All this time wasted when he could have been putting his house in order. Certainly he could never be one with the mortal lass, but all the same, he could have cherished what time he could have had with her upon his return. It was then that Syth learned shame, and his normally arrogant self washed away in undead tears that would not come to an empty skeletal eye socket.
When he finally lifted his head and opened his eyes in the sense that he saw the world again instead of the darkness in his own mind the scene had changed. No more was there the green sky and orange stone that was common in the Zone Between Zones. Replaced instead by shadowy caverns and the pervasive stench of sulfer and brimestone. It took the deathog little time to realize he was in the bit.
High on his stoney throne the living shadow himself Syntaru sat grinning with his crimson fangs in a dark form. A swishing tail, infernal horns, and ever staring red flame encrusted eyes. "Why my imputent little worm, you seem confused. You've forsaken your Father's Protection and certainly Aurora wouldn't take you in. Even if you DID do some foot work for the wench.
In all honesty, something I stretch to it's extent, you should have come to my realm several millenia ago. But not even the 'Son of the Reaper' can cheat death. You're mine now, bound to suffer for. . "
The All-Bones-Deathog simply raised his hand to interupt the unholy one's rant. "What horror, what trial, what sinister plot could you concievably unfurl unto me that could match the atrocities you commited whilst I lived the half life I doomed myself to?
What all encompassing squalor could you subject me to, what depth could you plummet my being that could match the dredges my life has seen in it's twilight hour? Certainly there are some vile acts that I haven't experienced but when one has run the gamut that I have originality fades into mediocrity. The minutia of murder and suffering has grown stale Dark One. Pain can only last so long, what could you do to distract my being for the rest of eternity?
I would crawl out of the Pit eventually, and then what? A fully powerful, fully consumed Shadow Beast crying for your blood in some gutteral tongue known only to it's own twisted ilk? You of all should know that even deprived of my sense of self I would never break let alone bend to your will. You are impotent, you are base, you are powerless to me in the one way you must be strong to triumph were your sister has failed.
You share the similar failing, that weakness in your ideal that binds those to you in mind and spirit. That is faith, I would have to lose my own or rely on yours to be crippled by your will. But I also know you cannot alter your self, you are a constant. An unwavering idea, bound to act in your nature till the end of Time. I forgive you this trapping, for I know you can not help yourself in this manner. I forgive you your trespasses on me and mine, for it is in your nature to perform as such.
But know this, for even in this world I know you can hear me Dark One. You and I are not done. I come not for your blood, even if such a humor coarsed through your veins. I will not visit thine home for your head, though many would claim I have a rightful cause to take it. I come not for your soul, for I have indeed forsaken my Father's Employ not that I could take it anyway, you shall recall I tried and you gave me the skeletal curse my Father carries.
And that is where we come to a head here and now dark one. I cast off your shackles of darkness, I return your vile curse not in malice or in spite but because it can affect me no longer. I am condemed here yes, but I am forever more free of YOU."
His long rant finished Syntaru simply smirked and snapped a pair of fingers that formed from his writhing darkness. A thousand fold tortures were visited on Syth's soul. A further thousand thousand deaths experienced in a calidoscope myriad of horrors the likes of which can not be depicted in words. Emotion alone holds the capacity to properly convey and even then only the depravity of Suffering could adiquately articulate the fate of Syth Thanatos.
And yet, through it all, he did not hate Syntaru. He could not, he understood the nature of the beast and pittied the creature of darkness more than he could ever summon up the feeling of hate. Through the tumult, Syth plunged on, awaiting his day of reckoning.

Halo whined slightly quickly he darted from the open street to under the cover of a tree. The rain clouds above him had parted enough to allow a few rays of sunlight out and the young echidna vampire did not want to linger in the rays. Shivering slightly his eyes briefly looked around at the others who now removed their coats and jackets enjoying the light and growing warmth, Halo couldn’t help but lower his head and let out a whimper wishing he could do the same.
Closing his eyes he let his mind slip back to the past, his happier days and life with his father. Training often until he felt ill yet doing so just to prove himself and show to the one he loved that he could do as was wanted of him. A brief little smile crept over his muzzle as his eye opened up a little bit and he peeked down at the blades that lay covering over his wrists. Twisting his hands around he looked down at the well-used weapon and in particular the engraved writing that covered the sharpen metal. Suddenly he let out a hiss as the sunlight shone and reflected off his blades into his face.
Quickly pulled his blades down he looked upwards and watched as a cloud started to move and block out most of the sun again, though it would be painful he could now move again out in the open and did not waste this chance. Licking his lips he quickly darted out from the safety of the shadows quickly moving and then dashing down a ally way. Sighing softly he looked around and at the tall building which surrounded him and cast long dark shadows. He knew the back streets were safe, or at least safe from the sunlight, he knew from many a fight that undesirable types would often lurk in them, preying on weak fools who stumbled into there lair. “Much like my kind do...” He then gritted his teeth shaking his head from side to side. “NO. I am not like them, I won’t be like them.” He slashed using his wrist blades against a brick wall small bits of dusty stone falling to the ground as he quickly moved on, his mind racing as he felt his hunger start to rise once more.

Tala opens her eyes when the bat finally decides to speak, she had felt him come into the chamber but found herself not concerned, she knew that he would not dare attack her in these halls. She moves off of her perch without saying a word, watching the arrogant bat with her regular blank face. Finally she speaks, in a low and even tone, "Indeed, I am much honoured by the gifts bestowed upon my by Syntaru - such was my pledge when I first was taken in by Him, to sacrifice whatever was needed for Him."
She walks closer to the bat, still far enough away to not be easily caught but close enough that with a good lunge she could grab ahold of him, "But you, such arrogance coming from one who until recently was fighting upon the side of the unbelievers..." Tala ponders her remaining words carefully, flipping them over in her mind as if testing the taste, "I will spar with you, for I have much to learn of my new skills"
____
She looks down, relieved to see that once more she has paws and the familiar feel of her tail swishing carefully behind her. Ahead is a small lake with a waterfall splashing cool mountain water upon the slippery rocks below. There seems to be a seat, almost made for her, of rocks and wood directly beside the pool and she walks slowly over to it. Her bones creak gently, like the limbs of trees in a light wind and in her own time she makes it to the seat, setting herself upon it with only minor difficulty. Looking out upon the water she breathes in deeply, feeling the tranquility of the area seep into her very soul... her whiskers twitch and head tilts to the side in the familiar gesture as her eyes glipse upon a flicker of shining eyes from across the way.
This has happened before...
Once more she is attacked, but instead of moving from her seat she feels a great power welling up inside and with a mere gesture she sends the energy, now visible in a wave of green, in the direction of the evilness across the lake. It screams in agony and the shadow creature falls into a pile of ash... the cat merely shakes her head wearily, [glow=limegreen,2,300]"You are watching, I am sure, this little scene - wondering what it has to do with your, heh, our training and why this energy keeps on coming up. It is you... you have this dwelling inside of you and only through great practice and through training will you learn the full secrets. I cannot tell you everything though... my time is almost done here and there are things that only you can learn through the Others."[/glow]
"The others?" CC feels herself say to the older version of herself, starting to get rather confused.
[glow=limegreen,2,300]"Yes, you have already met them... Shae, though if my memory serves me right he has already turned from the path. Stealth - he will be learning just as you are and you will be able to support eachother in these trying times. Of course... Syth... and Psychosis"[/glow] She stops and smiles, as if taken away by memories - some her own and others not. [glow=limegreen,2,300]"Take care with both of them... there are others who train alongside of you... but it is with these four that you have the most connection - the most lives with. It is nearing time for you to return now. Devote yourself to the Goddess, it is through her that you will fully find your way, never doubt her, not even when what she does seems doubtful. There are always reasons... but I ramble on. It is nearing time for me to go now, you must stay for this as well and I am sorry. Always have faith in yourself and never stop loving and just being you..."[/glow]
The elder cat takes a few more deep breaths and then, no more breaths are taken and she slumps down upon the seat, all life gone from her old and frail body.

The chiroptera let out a low laugh at the Lemur's statement of his former allegience, as they walked out from the crypt, through the archaeic halls of the caves and out onto the mountain's plateau, he spoke in comment to this.
"While I have served the Goddess for over a century now, our dark Lord has had his eye on me since my life in the ancient kingdom Mercia.. for a long while, I was misguided, thinking my former mentor Magnus had betrayed me.. but now I see, if you'll forgive the ironic pun, the light of things." said Shae, laughing to himself. "In his efforts, my former mentor was preparing me for my service to Syntaru, my time with the Goddess was merely a means of increasing my powers.. I held no earnest claim on her riteous goals.. at least, subconsciously.. prior to my dark awakening.. I was her schill and faithful servant.. and it sickens me now.. but I made that disgust known, prior to arriving here.. I managed to subdue the Goddess, incapacitating her for a time.. her forces are stuck in the Chaos Realm, while we are free to gather that which our Master recquires.. the SoulGem.."
Shae stopped speaking they had arrived at the plateau. It was a large and flat area, ample room for the type of sparring that was to encur. Shae readied himself in the traditional stance he'd learned while in the Chaos Realm, he studied his martial arts by observing the acts of the mortals. The peoples and mobians around Mt. Aeres were descended of a culture with martial arts engraved into the society, so his education on the craft was thorough.
"No doubt your new powers give you increased physical strength, so why don't we exercise that first?" Said Shae. "HAVE AT YOU!!"
Shae dashed forward at a blinding pace, leaping high in the air, and coming with a rolling aerial kick.

Simon snorted as the vamprie and dragon left. he then turned his atention to getting rpeairs done on the base and analyzing the new data on his foes.
Meanwhile in the ageis forest zone. A solid force of hydras slwoly marched in cutting a swath past the dead vegtation that seperated the base from nature. Their red optics gleamed with the urge to destroy as they smashed into the line of swats. Lazer blasted impacted into the thick armor and were returned with bolts of fusi ng plasma and tentacles that ripped the bots, crushed them and mangled them. slowly the war machines pushed the egg forces back. From the back lines in the transport/mobile HQ Feild comander Felis watched wit han evil glee. Soon the bastard who took his family would die. His vengence would be certain. His faith in Legion and the worship of shadow was only firmed by this highly successfull turn of events.
Meanwhile back in the chamber stealth groaned trying to fight the immages and voices. they began to swirl around. the voices hissed at him telling him to fight the darkness to repel it from his heart. To stop the corruption before he was claimed to the shadow. They called to him to recieve his light to unoeash the potential of his soul.
Stealth groaned and fell to his knees as the imges and swirls went faster and faster till stealth couldnt take it anymore. He gave out a feral scream."STOP IT!!! I DONT CARE ABOUT THE DARKNESS BUT I WONT BE CLAIMED BY ANY SHADOW ANY DOUBTS IF ITS MY DESTINY TO FIGHT FOR THAT WENCH THEN FINE ILL FIGHT FOR HER MORTAL OR NO MORTAL!"he caleld out. Sudnely the voices ceased. stealth opend his eyes and saw nothing but a plain white voide. He blinked and weirily stood up and looked around. Suyddenly he heard a solitary clapping and looked around and to his surprise he stared face to face..............with himself. Stealth gulped and took one step back fro mthe snearing fox. it was a mirrior immage except for one signifcant diffrence. He seemed to ozze darkness and pure hatred. His eyes oozed with bloodlust. stealth couldnt help but shiver. The fox smirked and got closer to stealth.
"Congratulations! Your now weakers than you used to be. and you know what you do to weak trahs...you burn it!"

The vampire was genuinely impressed. Either Legion had greater resources here or he was gambling dangerously. For a moment the undead overlander considered his course in siding with Eggman and almost thought about regreting his source of employment to favor Simon instead. Then he remembered with bitterness the wolf's penchant for using the undead as ethreal batteries. Shaking away that unsettling though, Lucian cracked his knuckles and thought for a moment, the metalic wave of encroaching death marching on.
"Apophis, draw their fire if you please. I'm not keen on damaging this outfit any more than the cold weather and oilstains have. Your armor piercing should last at least a good hour and half of straight piercing rounds before you have to worry about holes in that hide of yours. Take about a hundred yard distance near the line of skirmish away from the bases main facilities. And watch that tail of yours this time, you totally half the buildings in Ice Cap zone with that thing and i don't think Robotnik would like it if you. . "
Lucian was cut off in the metal monsters about face, the same tail in question cutting it VERY close to the vampires neck. Definately a Robotnik model. The vampire thought bitterly as he took his position in the dragons shadow, already starting to pick off half damaged or fully distracted hydra units.
His once graceful lunges and slashes getting sloppier and sloppier as the battle drags on. Even the dead need rest and this undead was in dire need of some quiet time. But alas, no rest for the wicked, so Lucian Ostrum fought on.
Meanwhile; the tumult finally came to a stop for poor Syth. An eternity seemed to have passed, and at long last he found himself once more surrounded on all sides by white nothingness. But it was not a void, not an abscence of something. Instead it was filled with energy, it was always there, implanted in the very fiber of his being. Dormant, untapped, unaccessible to the doubting, the pained, and the vengeful. This was the Path of Enlightenment, the road to salvation, and the route one walks in service to the Goddess.
There were no obstacles because there was no form. Nothing could hinder you when nothing could be in a substance denser than yourself. This was what the Chaos Realm really looked like, potential with out a sculptor. A blank canvas waiting for a creative artist. Boundless Source Energy, requiring a dominate soul to shape it. Syth reached out his hands and found indeed that there were hands on his bones. Down and around the familar fur once deep blue now shown a brilliant white. A mirror was conjured before him, and 'lo Syth knew he was changed.
The shape was the same, but the darkness in his eyes was gone. The languid sickliness of his form was robust and healthy. Fangs and gruff voice replaced with straight teeth and a melodous if deep resounding call. The only thing that remained the same was his eyes. Those dark crimson spheres would not leave no matter how much he embraced the Goddess. Some scars are immune to faith but he took this revelation stoicly. Similar to the albino ferrets in the polar region the deathog was reborn into the Paladin he quested to be. The trails of faith, fire, and belief finally completed.
"Enough vanity. There is work to be done. I am behind the game and have much training to do. First, the Magic, come on to me and know your newest brother. Embrace me and know guidance, bind with me in the hopes and prayers that we are a greater whole than a seperately divided part! From the edges of reality the whiteness was drawn into Syth's being. A simple grassknoll rolled into view underneath the deathogs feet, the last flickers of pure light absorbed into his being.
"Ah, good, thank you. Second, the cloth which hides all and hinders not. Clothe me so that those I toil with may understand me and see me. Percieve me as a being untouched by lust, desire, and vanity. The light manifested again, slowly sinking from head to foot. A light but form fitting ensemble of silken robes covered the deathog, a familar looking cloak sprung out at the end. Not forboding and fear inducing, but that of a pilgrim in need of protection.
"And lastly the tool of my office. I have forsaken the scythe, it is a device of death of which I no longer am akin to. Come to me Inter Canem Et Lupum, the twilight glaive. A polearm that can reach the deepest depths of darkness and defend me against those that would tresspass on our holy mission." To the Deathog's hand came the blade. The white oaken staff portion roughly six feet in length, a blessed brother to the blade the ex-reaper once toted about. Ending in a two foot curved blade set in the staff. One end, sharp enough to cut gods, the other, to knock foes mercifully unconscious. Not all battles need end in bloodshed.
His creationary work finished, the Deathog sat and meditated till it was time to be summoned and do the Goddess' Work.
Syth Thanatos had entered the Chamber. Paladin Twilight would exit it.

Gulo gave a quiet hum of a growl. He entered the command center and flipped on the consoles, watching as the multi-colored lights blinked on. He filpped a series of switches, activating the monitor screens. The screens displayed a panoramic view of the base, and Gulo watched as the sluggish Vampire and the over-zealous dragon lay havoc upon the hoard of Hydras. Gulo was clacking his metallic claws together, watching the lightshow of spark and flame outside the base perameter.
He sat back in the cushy chair, waiting for the right moment to call Lucian and Apophis back within the base's border, at which point he would activate the shield, lock out their input codes for the Aegis base, sealing them inside while he disabled the shields around Robotropolis. Legion would no doubt receive word of the downed shield immediately and recall all his troops to the Robotropolis lines. Eggman would be vulnerable, and defenseless. His two saving graces would be trapped behind the Aegis shield.
And Gulo, well he would be laughing all the way to his little hide-away on the outskirts of Mobotropolis. A quaint and small little housing unit, one bed, one bath, one kitchen, one living area and a small basement. Of course now he would have to remodel, as he had no need for a kitchen or a bath. He contemplated such ideas as he watched for his most opportune moment.

Felis frowned as the vampire and dragon entered the fray. He ordered the hydras to regard those two priority threats and then ordered his transports to fire at the dragon with their PPCs when they had the chance. The hydras eyes started to glow red, sudnely twin metalic tentacles wrapped around the vampires legs to scoop him off his feet and hopefully to wrap him up and squeeze him into mush. it was bovius now the hydras had flanked the dragon and vampire
Stealth let out a yelp as he was knocked a few feet back by a punch from his wicked doppleganger. Stealth could only growl as he whiped the blood from his muzzle. That thing had attacked without warning, and from the look in the creautres eyes as it slowly circled him...it wanted to finish his lighter half off. Stealth growled as he took up another fighting stance that mirriored his darker half. "Well I aint going down without a fight...but how in the hell do I fight myself?"

CC sat in the chamber, staring at the spot where she had just died... it had all since melted away. She did not feel sadness or even confusion, instead things were eerily clear. She knew what she needed to do and she knew that there were many roads open to her at the moment, many paths to choose - but one shone clearer than any other. She had always just been a fighter, nothing too special about her except that she was honest and generally pretty lucky. The cat was a survivor, always fighting for herself at the end of the day - and in some respects that would not change if she followed the path in front of her.
She had seen her dark side and the sickening feeling within her gut told her easily that it was not the path to choose again - she did not like that side of her. She accepted it as part of her, but it did not mean that it was a focus of hers to keep up. No, CC realized that it was time for her to choose a clearer path, she would wander no longer. Closing her eyes she cleared her mind of all thoughts, like she would before a really important fight, "Daddy Dante, you taught me well and trained me hard. You knew, I am sure, more of my impending choices than you ever let on - perhaps you would have even told me if you had survived to an age where it would have been appopriate. Everything happens for a reason though, I thank you for teaching me that too. I will turn to new teachers now, I have run long enough from those who would teach me or guide me - not wanting to sully your name. I know now that could never happen, not as long as I stay true..." Her voice is clear and sweet, with emotions behind it that belly her very inner strength that has nothing to do with special powers and when she continues her voice is one of deep respect for the next subject, "Goddess, you sent for me for whatever reason... and reason you must have had. You have made it possible for me to see that power within me that I never knew existed and I do pledge to fight in your honour... for you... whatever be the toll for it is for the best of all around, not only yourself or myself, that we fight. I will stay true to the light, regardless of what may happen or who may try to lead me astray. I thank you for this opportunity..."
Her words falter at this point, not knowing how to continue or what to continue with... but also knowing that she has said enough and that perhaps it is now time to learn more of the powers she has found.

Tala does not have time to reply to Shae's little story but she does store it away in her mind for future reference. She takes a breath of the air on top of the mountain and watches the bat with a steady gaze.
The lemur is quick to react when the flying menace of a bat takes to the air and comes down at her in a rolling kick. She leaps straightup into the air, not meeting the bat head on, but instead letting herself be just off to the side of him. With a quick and practiced move she sticks out a long leg, if she has timed it correctly it will hit him but if not then she will merely just drop back to the ground.

Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
The vampire thought as the Hyrda's coils slowly started to crush the unlife out of him. Fighting for breath the undead was barely able to call out. "Apophis. . .little help here!"
The metalic dragon wheeled about, and send a striking tail in Lucian's direction. The clutching Hyrdas taking the brunt of the damage but knocking the bloodsucker silly. It was only a few moments before he hit the ground near the bases' front doors that he discovered he'd been airborne.
But the distraction cost the dragon dearly. It failed to notice a heavier RPG incoming, and the missle connected with the well armored creatures head. The Great Lizards, not particularly known for their sense of ballence, took the hit full on and fell in the parimeter of the bases's defenses as Hyrdas swarmed all over the metal monster pinning it to the ground with their ever flexible tenticles.
Crashing in a pile of tatterd clothing, blood, and machine parts Lucian remained very still. It would seem the foreruners for Aegis Base had gone as far as they were going to for the moment. The large pool of blood seeping out from the pile near the bases entryway a sure sign that the vampire wasn't going anywhere for a good long while.

If one had been paying close enough attention, one would have caught a rather rare event up close in slow transition. For as the Lemur's leg came around the degrees of air, no connection of body was made, instead, the leg passed through entirely. In the soft sibtle moments of hangtime, this would have surely sent Tala aback some in her focus. But she would not have time to revel in the splendor of such curiosity. For Shae had teleported, directly behind the dear Lemur. Silent, near untraceable until the full moment of re-corporialization. He was now holding Tala by the tail, smirking in a devilish way.
"If my memory serves.. the Lemur.. is very particular about its tail.. and if one were to pull on said tail.. like so" said Shae, doing just such an action. "It should render you inarbital for just long enough to do.. THIS!"
Shae spun in a hard 180, pulling Tala through the air by her tail, and sending her hurdling for the hard rock of the mountain slope connecting the plateau to the peak. But the Lemur would not crash here, no, Shae again teleported, stopping just infront of the rock face and charging some of his energy.
"You know, you might just want to form that darkness around you.. into a shield.." said Shae, the advice sure to confuse the Lemur.
Shae was offering his knowledge of Shadow Energies, which was quite extensive, having battled each incarnation of Shadow Creature in the long century. He wanted Tala to reach her full potential, and thus wedge his way deeper into the graces of Syntaru. He waited a scant half second and released a large wave of energy that screamed toward the projectile Lemur. Meanwhile, Gulo had been laughing histarically at the performance of Apophis, seemed his reserves were running low and he required refueling, reloading, and a very large electronic aspirin.
But 'lo, his compatriates were inside the shield limit, while the tenticles of the Hydras were strentched out long enough that they were the only part of them caught in the range. Gulo let out what could have been considerd a sigh, then activated the Egg Shields, locking out Lucian and Apophis entry and exit codes, and encrypting the system so the shield would only deactivate.. if there was a loss of power. And the generator for this base was deep in the underground facility.. where another of Eggman's glories, lay dormant. 4 glories.. to be precise.
With the shields raised, the tentacles of the Hydras being severed, just after delivering a massive electrical overload to the shells they were attatched to. Then Gulo enacted his revenge protocal, typing in the access codes to Robotropolis' shields. In the city, inhabitants would see the bright orange dome begin to fizzle, and fade. Eggman's empire, was soon to be relatively defenseless, save for the gun turrets, missle bays, and air drones.
"What in the Void is going on here? Gulo, come in, what happened.. the shields over Robotropolis.. they've been lowered!! I can't get them up again.." raved Eggman.
At first, there was only static on the transmission feed, then Gulo's cold robotic voice came over the airwaves.
"Oh? Have they? I guess my plan is working then.. hmm 'Father'? Consider this, my going away present.. so have you taken away my mortal body, shall I take away your immortal fame.. no doubt good ol' Legion has received word of the shield failure.. and he'll be marching in.. very soon.. but poor ol' Lucian and your precious dragon, won't be joining you, they're locked inside the Shields here in Aegis.. and they'll probably stay that way for a good while.. but me? I'll be long gone." said Gulo, his revenge under way.
The transmission cut off, and the airwaves went dead.
"Gulo.. GULO!! GUUUUULLLOOOOO YOU ROTTEN EGG!!...." cried Eggman, but it was too late.
The shields were gone, and Legion's army would be moving in any moment. Eggman activated the cities defenses, ordered all available Swat, Shogun, Grounder, Egg and Command bots to the city borders. A wall of plasma shots would wash over Legion's forces when they arrived. But would it be enough?

Simon bolted on to the deck of his transport in the ice cap. He couldnt belive the transmission from the warriors on the robototropolis line. He glanced down and double checked and tripple checked agian. Indeed the sheilds were down. It had hgappend when the sheilds were raised in Ageisis and the vampire and the dragon were knocked out of commison for awhile. He smirked and shook his head. He had to take advatage of this..it would be foolish not too. He fliped on his comm gear. "Repate this is priority aplha. robotnik has left us a opertunity I cannot ignore. All available troops pull back from current operations and congregate on our forward base on the robototropolis line. We will take that city. I mean all troops , transports, fighters, and land vehicals. All that are not guarding key points pull back!
Meanwhile at aegisi Felis got the communication and ordered his hydras to pull back. In wich they did leaving the vampire and reamining swats alone at ageis.
Meanwhile the foxes in the chamber were locked in mortal combat. For every blow there was a deflection. For every throw or grapple their was a reversal. They were fighting themselves and knew how each other thought...but there was a diffrence. One was shadow the other light.....tarnished light. With a snarl stealth burt throug and opening his fist smashing left across the dark foxes jaw making the dark waror stumble back and fall to one knee as the world spun.
"Give up darkie!"Stealth said breathing in deep pants. But alas the dark fox looked up and laughed."Give up? GIVE UP? You realy are weak to think I can be deaftered so easily. You were a fool fox to give up on the powers that the shadow offers. You should of let it cosume you like it did me. I will so enjoy replacing you in this world. now witness the power.. The true power of hatred darkness and PAIN!" He cried out as he was envolped in a dark aura his body began to morph into grotesque shapes. He was transforming...into something demoic and horrible. He was transforming into the avatar of hatred itself ,or thats what it looked like to the fox.
