A somber resplendance filled the chamber. Amon was told now, that his emotions did not cripple his power, but increased it. He sat, alone in the dark room, in the meditative pose. He cleared his mind, and tried to go back to the vision and memory of his childhood. If he was to use his emotions again, there would be no better place to start.
His only qualm, was over how his powers would react to each emotion. The obvious threat being anger.. but he pushed on.. trying to recall those days as a youth, to recover the missing pieces of his history. For a time, nothing came, until, a birght holy light flashed in his mind. He was once again in the small village, he looked down, and he saw his small hands, the tattered clothes. He was a child once more.
"Amon, it's time for your meal, come sit with me over here."
Amon's mother sat in the center of the small shelter, a clean mat acted as the dinner table, the meal, was a meager presentation of stale bread, a few scraps of generic meat and some raw herbs. He did not feel as though it were too little, in fact he was happy.
He could feel himself smiling, and he could feel the warmth of the innocent joy. He sat next to his mother, taking his share of the bread, meat and herbs. It was all he could muster to not choke at the bitterness of the meat. He had never been a fan of it, this much he had known long before his memory was scattered. But still he ate it, one of the begging type cannot afford to be fickle.
His mother smiled at him, and ate her portions. The sky outside was growing dark, the communal fire in the village center had just been lit. The amber glow crossed wth the growing purple twilight in a radiant beauty. His happiness abound, Amon could feel his body begin to glow. Inside the chamber, his body had become enveloped in a bright blue aura.

He had grabbed onto her long and sensitive tail and flung her hurtling towards the ground, she had been caught off gaurd by his use of telportation powers, a part of her cursed the dishonour and the other part of her cursed her own stupidity for thinking that he would stick to his word. She did not have time to think or properly curse this matter or the curiosity of the advice given her by the bat as a wave of energy sped towards her. With only a moment to react before the attack hit her she decided to follow the advice of the chiroptera, calling in the dark shadow energies about her.
The power was stronger than she could have imagined as a dark swirling mist formed all about her, forming a large black ball around the lemur. Shae's energy collided with the ball of swirling dark and seemed to be sucked inside as if disappearing into the shadows. The ball falls to the ground and disappears, along with the lemur inside, who had gone to the shadows upon the cliff face, only to appear just off to the side of the bat, her paws uplifted in a strange gesture, behind the bat two shadow paws lift up and grasp onto his wings.
___
Focussing on the energy within the cat sits in a meditative trance, calling up the feral energies that she felt when she was the feline on all fours and the energy she would feel rise up within her when frightened onr stressed. She could feel it whirling within her stomach and bubbling through her veins, a hazy green mist at first but as it grew stronger and stronger it began to become more clear and would eventually match the emerald colour of her eyes. Tentatively, she reached out with it, trying to feel other things around her, there was nothing but herself within the chamber, but faintly around her she could feel something unexplainable.
She set that aside for the moment and concentrated instead of making the light within her grow even stronger, but something began to bug her in the back of her mind like an itch that she was unable to scratch. Her paws and the tip of her tail began to tingle and she had to work incredibly hard to keep herself from laughing at the ticklish sensation. Still she concentrated, until she began to feel a burn within the area of her heart, it radiated out through all the pimbs of her body, even to the tip of her ears. Panic began to set in, no longer was it the comfortable ticklish sensation, something was going wrong.
Pain followed the burning and she let out a little plaintive mew at the sudden intensity of it all, she felt as if she was burning up... she had to get rid of the energy, but it just kept rising within her. It would eat her up like flames to dry wood, it had been encased within her for so long aching to escape. She opened her eyes in an attempt to bring herself out of it and she was shocked to see the area around her crackling with the emerald green energy she felt within. She looked around but saw nothing, just darkness around her... she tried to stand up, but when she did even the tiniest push sent her soaring into the air in a jump that suprised her. Some of the emergy disipated and the burning receeded as she landed upon soft turf - the scene turning slowly into a large mountainous and forested area around her.
I must get rid of the energy... that jump, it must be part of it but it wasn't enough
She looked around wildly and finally, getting so frustrated and frightened she ran, with suprising speed, towards the nearest tred, swiping at it with her claws, attacking physically being the only idea that she had. The energy left her in a rush and she falterred, even before reaching the tree - the attack left her paws in large stripes resembling marks her claws would leave - the wave hit the poor tree tree and it stood there for a moment, as if the tree itself was shocked by the blow and then it slid apart in neatly cut diagonal logs, hitting the ground with a dull thud.
The black furred feline drops to the ground, exhausted, looking with suprise at the tree and then her paws, her claws retreating back and the energy that was once around her now fully gone.

Shae feigned as though he was almost paralytic due to the Lemur's grip on his wings.
"Oh no.. not my wings.. whatever shall I do now.." cracked Shae, leaning his head forward and then rushing it backward, connecting with Tala's jaw, freeing him from her grip. "Tsk, tsk, tsk.. forgotten already? I've been around for a century in my afterlife... many before you have done that same trick, and I have since learned to counter that weakness."
Shae took his striking stance again, making his legs rigid and firm plant to the ground.
"Here, why don't you try something else.. like say.. focussing your newfound energies into a Kenetic attack.. I swear, this time, I won't phaze out at the last second." said Shae, a smirk upon his face.

OOC- Sorry for the delay - too much crap's been happening and my posts aren't getting through, so I'll keep it short.
IC-
Suddenly, in a mind-numbing flash, Thunder found himself inside a house, a very familiar house. It was the house that he was taken care of in by a very kind catgirl named Sanya. Thanks to her, she taught him what it was like to have compassion for others. Thunder felt the warmth of that compassion that Sanya had given him.

Spade was now invisioning himself, walking down a long forest path. A few flickies flying around him, chirping their happy song. Having made peace with his past sins and regrets, Spade felt stronger, more focussed, and yes, less skeptic.
But there was still much for him to learn, his skills as a warrior, though grand, were not up to the caliber of those he was to face. From the quaint forest, the Koalla entered a large and empty desert, the sunlight was at it's most intense here. The heat was incredible, Spade's body felt limp, drained, sweat dripping from his short fur.
He wandered around this enormous desert for what seemed like weeks. When he finally reached the end of the scorching sands, he realised, that he had sweat off a good 30% of his body fat. The weight loss was noticeable, and he still remained fairly big, only now it was less fat and more considerable muscle. He lifted his axe over his shoulder, staring at a huge mountain.
"Hmm if I were to climb this massive pile of rock, hauling this heavy axe behind me, I could probably tone up these muscles.."
And so he did, he began to scale the mountain, slowly at first. Being cautious, sometimes losing his grip, or slipping on smooth stone, but as he climbed higher, it became a little easier. The rock became more deformed in his favor. What seemed like a month passed, and he reached the summit, exhausted, but leaner, more fit, and determined.
He fell back into the cool snow of the mountain top. He would spend the rest of his time in the chamber relaxing this way. He'd earned it, afterall, sweating off all that fat in the desert, building this muscle climbing an incredible mountain. This time in the chamber was revalational, and wonderous. He recalled the things he'd seen, he'd done, amazed that outside the chamber, only a day would have passed.

As fate would unfortunately have it, however, Sanya would not live to see him off. One night, bandits raided that village from the air. They plundered what they could and killed whoever stood in their way. Sanya was still in the house at the time it caught ablaze. As bandits broke through the window, they hustled downstairs. However, a hairline shot caught Sanya in the leg. Things got worse as more bandits came from the other direction. Thunder stood inbetween, trying to defend her. It was then that he tasted the sting of pain.

The teen echidna was sat curled up against the walls of a building his eyes looking out at the knocked out bodies that lay before him the foolish mortals that dared to try and attack him, the mere meat that... He suddenly shook his head harshly from side to side. “No...they are living things...I will not feed from them.” He hissed the words out to himself pulling his hands into fists so tightly that he could feel his nails breaking into the flesh. He pulled his knees up closer resting his chin on top of them, his mind betraying him and his hunger and lust for feeding growing ever stronger. “But...they did try and mug me...They could of hurt someone else...A small bite would teach them....yes....” Panting he slowly stood up and with shaky steps moved closer and closer to the bodies, his tongue moved out from his mouth and dragged its self over his lips. Reaching down he grabbed one of the men by his collar and yanked him upwards his eyes glazed over as he took deep heavy breaths.
Reaching up with his other hand the blades under his wrist almost shone in the darkness as he brought it closer and closer towards the males’ neck. Moving the blade up a little more he pressed the tip of the curved blade against the side his neck and then slowly started to pull it back over his flesh. With a sudden smooth sweeping action he yanked his arm back and out of the way before lunging his muzzle down over the wound drinking and feeding from his neck. After a few seconds he pulled his back gasping for air with a bloody muzzle, a tear running down from his closed eyes as his whole body shuddered feeling refreshed.
Licking his lips clean he threw the body against a nearby wall discarding it like trash before opening his eyes and letting then fall onto the other one. Panting his eyes were still glazed over and he took another step towards it before stopping. His ears twitched at a sound before he blinked his eyes the glazed look gone from them as his hand went up to his muzzle wiping clean some of the blood. Looking at the man against the wall he whimpered before he took another step towards the other one and reached down into his pocket. Finding a cell phone he dialled for an ambulance saying that there was an attack there before he quickly dashed off and away from the ally moving down deeper into the winding back streets.

The lemur was quick to catch on, the bat was helping her learn but was not above getting hits in while he could, she needed to think past her former weaknesses and instead let instinct and the skills that she has honed over the years to come through even stronger now that she had the ability. She rubs the tender spot on her chin with her paw, as if acknowledging its existence let her get it out of her mind and then she nods towards the bat curtly.
With a bit of concentration she manages to gather a large amount of shadown energy, letting it concentrate into a small ball in the palm of her metalic paw, with not even a moments of hesitation she tosses it in the direction of the chiroptera... behind her back in her organic paw more energy is being concentrated and as the first ball is half way through the air she lets the other seemingly explode, sending bolts of energy out in all directions.
___
Weary, the cat sits up and scratches the back of her head, finding singed fur here and there and she sighs, rolling her eyes and looking up into the sunny sky. There are no sounds here, not even wind blowing through the trees - it being just another fake area created by the chamber or by her mind, she was not entirely sure which was which. It seemed as if she had been in this chamber forever and part of her ached to get out and another tiny thought chimed in, wondering if she would indeed ever be able to get out. "Ack, none of that... come on, get up- let us try this again and this time CC, DON'T burn yourself out"
She giggles at her poor little joke and with a small groan lifts herself to her feet, her muscles aching a bit from the strange work out. A bit calmer now she begings to focus on the energy once more, this time attempting to put it into a small ball within her paws, but nothing happens - she frowns and tries again but though she feels the energy she does not seem to be able to get any to gather.
Trying a different tactic she concentrates on a rock that is just off to the side of her and tries to throw energy at it, which ends up in only a slight fizzle. "Well fine then...be that way, stupid rock"
She feels a surge of energy at this frustration and she cocks her head to the side, "hmmm". Directing all her anger and frustration that she could muster she tries once more to fling energy at the rock, her paw automatically going out in a slashing down fashion. Like before with the tree the energy shots out towards the rock in large streaks resembling her claws and when it hits the rock the rock crubles to the ground, little shards flighing outwards. Some fly towards CC and she blocks herself, hearing the small stones drop to the ground but without feeling them hit her arm. She sees a shimmering green field in front of her before it slowly dissipates, relaxing she nods her head, starting to understand.

As a blade pierced his flesh, Thunder felt the sharp, blood-letting sting of it. It was a feeling that he'd like to avoid. Yet, it was the best thing he could have, for at that moment his power was awakened. The surge of anger, the feeling of electricity coursing through his body. In a spontaenous movement, Thunder shot out a bolt of lightning clear at the protagonizing bandit, blasting him clear out of the room. Neither Sanya nor Thunder could believe it. The bandit up the stairs tried to shoot Thunder with an arrow to tbe back, but Sanya got up to take the fatal blow for him.
Thunder felt the full blow of that moment - like a bullet train at full speed. Her last words were "trust your instincts". Those words influenced him greatly, as he unleashed his newfound power on the crossbow-wielding bandit. As Thunder was outside, he saw the carnage that was done by the bandits and took out his frustration on them. Body after fried body they fell, eventually taking out their transportation as well. When every bandit had fallen, he settled down and looked upon the destruction.

Post by Shae the Bat on Apr 8, 2006 2:56:31 GMT -5
Shae stood as still as the mountain itself, the curiously small orb of Shadow Energy zooming toward him, then dispursing. He sermized that the Lemur was being devious, distracting him with a pitence of an energy attack while secretly building a much larger one. But still, he could handle it, he had no fear, Syntaru wouldn't let him be vanquished quite so soon. He braced himself for the impending kenetic strike, planting h is foot firmly against the hard rock of the plateau.
"Come on Tala, show me what you've got, strike me!" taunted Shae.
Shae was planning a deception of his own, one of delightfully evil caliber. He would take the brunt of whatever blast the Lemur would throw at him with ease, but make it appear as though it were more damaging. Then, he'd retaliate, teaching his makeshift student a new lesson in her powers.

(ooc- damn... my post did not come out the way I intended as I wanted Tala to have already attacked with the second burst of energy... ah well! enough whining...)
The cocky bat had not moved from his spot, instead he had steadied his stance as if he knew that she had been planning a second more larger attack. The barest of frowns passed over her black and white face, she had to let go of the energy soon else it would grow too large and she would not be able to handle it properly. Tala figured that the bat would probably do his best to dodge out of the way, she had to be ready for that eventuality but did not know her oppponent well enough to know what he would do. Twisting her body slightly to the left to gain more momentum she hurls the larger ball of shadow energy towards Shae as if she were throwing a ball at him, with all the might she possessed. It flew towards him quickly, spirling and sizzling in the cold air on the top of the mountain, this one would stay true to its path.
The lemur, blocked by the large size of the ball, followed it at a fast sprint, drawing her daggers silently and readying them for a second attack.
___
CC lay upon the ground, one paw propping up her head and her tail twitching lazily as the other paw flicks a tiny bolt of energy towards an already blackened stone. She yawns and rolls onto her back, staring up into the fake sky. She had now spent what seemed like three weeks practicing with the different forms of energy, finding that she was able to use physical attacks backed by her emotions to send energy out in large waves. The more passionate she was about an attack, the stronger or larger it was and therefore the more damage it would make upon whatever she directed it at. She had also discoverred that her speed was increased as well as her ability to leap and climb - as if the energy could be used as a helpful little push towards the things she put her mind to. She had gone past her limit of experience though, having rarely come across this sort of thing before and her imagination being exhausted for the moment, all things said and done - the ever curious cat was bored out of her mind.
She flicked another bolt of energy up into the sky where it when for a few metres and then fickered out harmlessly. CC was used to busy streets and constant life around her, even when she was out among the hills and forests, camping or escaping for a bit, there was life around. Birds singing and others creatures going about her business - at least at the beginning of this little chamber trek she was put into scenes with people with whom she could interact, or at least think she was interacting.
She put a paw to her head, "urgh, thinking like that always gives me a headache... stupid existential crap". For the first time in a long time the cat felt at a great loss as to what to do and her mind wanderred to what the others may be going through in their own chambers or maybe if they had all finished and had forgotten about her. She could occasionally be easy to forget, sometimes she managed to meld right into the background though none ever expected it of the usually cheerful and friendly cat. Her mind wanderred the the hedgehog that had come to collect her, Psychosis, and she smiled but the smile quickly turned to a frown when she rememberred what name he had used to call her. Ci Ci Tomicat
The Tomicat family was a well know one in Casinopolis, their habit of spawning a ton of offspring every year making them close to a threat to the natural order of things. Most Tomicats worked in family run factories or casinos and many were known to be part of the various gangs and mobs that helped run the large city. Others worked honest lives, her mother had been one of those, though she was a prostitute and sold her body for any amount of money she could get. She would never lie or cheat and had a hard life partly because of that and partly because the family had abandoned her for her "choice" of profession. They did not care that she had been forced into it because there was nothing else open to her, it was dirt on a relatively good family name.
Her mother had gotten pregnant by a large brute of a man who did not want children and as soon as the small CC was able to walk and talk she was left on the side of a busy street by her weary mother and the uncaring man. They disappeared into the crowd and were never seen again by the small feline, she could barely remember what they looked like now, their images long faded from her memory. She hated the name and the family she belonged to and so she dropped her last name and the two i's of her first name vowing to make it on her own and to not call on the "family" for anything.
And she did, with a wry grin she laughed and shook her furred head, and look where it has gotten you...

A small sinister grin was present on Shae's face. He waited until the energy orb was close enough, that if it exploded, it would look like it had hit its mark. When it was, he quickly fired a counter orb, of opposite polarity, thus negating the two and causing the explosion. A plume of dust and rock was sent upward over the plateau. When the dust finally cleared, there was a formidable crater in the plateau. Shae, had created a dopple-ganger, an exact copy of himself made of pure energy.
It was laying as though wounded, beaten down, turned over face in the crater. When Tala came to investigate, the dopple-ganger would become active. It would latch on to the Lemur and self-destruct. It wouldn't harm her, merely stun her, Shae was careful to limit the energy dispursed to the devious clone. When Tala was disorriented from the blast, he would execute his final lesson. Elsewhere, in the Chaos Realm, Aries was becoming more unnerved by the second.
Hmm it should not have taken this long for Lady Aurora to restore in the Eternity Flow.. I'm getting worried.. thought Aries, moving away from the wall and walking over to a window.
A blue-toned meerkat dressed in a pink robe walked into the room. Her eyes wide, her expression one of worry.
"Aries? I heard what happened.. how is our Lady's progress?" asked the Meerkat.
Aries looked up from the window to see Ishillar standing there, a look of deep concern hanging on her face. He took a deep breath, calming himself, then walked over to her.
"Sit with me Ishillar, our Lady is in the Eternity Flow, yes, but she is taking longer than one would think, I fear Shae's betrayal was more than the Goddess could handle.. not in his physical attack, but rather the emotional shock." said Aries.
"How could Shae do something like this Aries? It doesn't make sense.. he's always been so.. sweet.. he and Rayne were the one's who welcomed us Vanguards, who trained us.. Shae was always.. WHY WOULD HE DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS?" said Ishillar, tears begining to flow down her cheeks.
Aries put his arm around her, consoling her as best he could. He knew of Ish's infatuation with Shae, he was the only person she told, aside from Aurora who would be able to tell. Aries took a while to respond, holding back sympathy tears of his own.
"Ish, Shae was corrupted by one of the carbon statues.. he and one of the Earthen warriors travelled to Marble Gardens, while there Shae figured he would go to the Temple in that area, and gain one of Syntaru's SoulGem shards, keeping it from his forces.. but there was a dark energy around that statue, one that seaped into his soul.. awakening an evil that was planted in him.. long ago in Mercia." explained Aries.
"Shae.. no.. it can't be.. he would never.. he couldn't be.." said Ishillar, quietly.
She stood up from the chair, a look of stern determination on her face. She marched ahead to the doors of the Eternity Flow chamber. Aries, fumbled behind trying to stop her, but she had already reached the door. She gribbed the handle and pressed the latch, the doors blew open, a radient green energy rushed out of the room, knocking both Aries and Ishillar to the ground. In the bright flowing essence, the Goddess form became clearer. She was in her Overlander form.. her long blonde hair flicking out behind her. A look of anger on her face, a rarity on such a peaceful deity. She looked down at Aries and Ishillar and spoke...
"Gather our forces.. we march today.." said Aurora, a fierce pink flame roaring around her.

Amon was now envisioning his life as a teenager, the angst, the fear, all of which were affecting his powers in the chamber. The anger and angst nearly overwhelmed him, the lack of control, the terrifying strength. The fear, made his powers weaker, doubt made him sluggish. Through all the different experiences of his life, there was one that made his power and control reach a perfect harmonial balance...
He was thinking back, to his meeting with the cat, Ci Ci. The swirl of joy, of happiness, that strange familiarity between the two. The instant connection and subtle flirtation between them. This was when his powers hit their peak strength, there was something about her that brought out the best in him that brought out his true strengths. And it hit him, like a rock to the head, the sensation he was feeling, the cause of this strength.. he was in love. Suddenly, the visions of the two at the strange tournament made sense.. that's why his alter self forfeited the match, though the odd storm was a concern, his main reason was because of his feelings for her.
He opened his eyes, starring into the empty chamber, a smile on his face. He had reclaimed his past, he had conquered his fears and inhibitions. Spade, now fully relaxed and regenerated, was quietly envisioning himself in a forest, sitting on a log as a few small rodents frolicked and flickies flew around him. He was enjoying the rest of his time in the chamber, no doubt that with his goals completed, that he would be called out soon, and woul dbe able to better serve the Mother of Creation.
