Slowly over the northern half of the planet Mobius, the sky turns from a pallid black to mixtures of orange, red and yellow. The magnificance of the sun as it rises brings the songs of the birds. All seems peaceful across the vast plains, forests, oceans and deserts of the blue planet.
However, this day would prove to be unlike any other. For deep within the humbling beauty of the new day, lies an ominous shadow. A creeping dark cloud, seeking to envelop the planet in its cold, bitter evil. It's presence goes unnoticed to the inhabitants, all but a select few know what is to come.
In the Chaos Realm, in the Oracle Chamber of Aurora's lookout, the Goddess, who has assumed the form of a Lynx today, looks out ove rthe planet. Her closest vangaurd, Shae, stands at her side...
"My Lady, you seem troubled." said Shae.
"I am, my dear Shae, the day I have long dread has arrived." said the Goddess, with a heavy sigh.
Shae perked his ears back, hung his head down, and sighed as well.
"Shall I prepare the Gateway then?" asked Shae.
The Goddess paused, silently looking into her Vision Pool. She turned to her Vangaurd and nodded. He left the chamber and went about his task.
"Though it is written, the great evil of my brother will consume the universe, I will fight with every ounce of my being to stop him. said the Goddes to herself.
Elsewhere;
"Dr. Eggman! Dr. Eggman!"
The Doctor, slumped over, sleeping in his command chair awoke with a start, thus knocking him out of his chair.
"HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO BOTHER ME WHILE I'M SLEEPING!?!?" shouted Eggman.
"I-I'm sorry s-sir.. but you told me to wake you when Gulo arrived."
The Doctor stared in confusion.. then popped up to his feet.
"Uh r-r-right.. send him in." said the Doctor
The cold faced Wolverine entered the command room. He dropped to one knee and bowed his head.
"Dear Father.. I have returned from the mountains as you requested.." said Gulo
"Ah.. excellent my son.. I have a new assignment for you.. I wish you to take a platoon of Swatbots to a temple I discovered on one of my satellites." said the Doctor, as he pulled up a viewscreen with a map on it "This temple is displaying some strange reading, simillar to the Chaos Emeralds, it's located deep in The Great Forest, find it, and secure it for our own, I'll arrive once you've completed the task.
Gulo stood up to his feet.
"As you wish, Father." said Gulo.
With that, the wolverine left the command room. Off to see to his "Father's" wishes. At that moment, in a deep mountain cave outisde the forest;
"The hour of awakening draws near, Tala.. even now I can feel my shadow powers increasing.. take two of my beasts with you to the temple.. no doubt Aurora and her lacky will have already arrived there.. use the beasts to distract them while you gather the shard of my Soul Gem in the temple's hall."
Three forces.. one destiny.. an epic struggle for power is about to begin.. this is; Adventures on Mobius: Rise of the Prophet.
(OOC: Veterans, you know how to post, but for the new folks, this topic is where you'll be posting. This is the first "Episode" so to speak. When this "Episode" hits its climax, a new topic will be created, and you'll post in that one instead, and so on and so on. Let the game begin.)

The peace of the great forest was disturbed as the humm of an EDF speeder bike burst from the tranquility. The machine zipped and weaved through the trunks and branches of the threes as its occupant, a grey fox zoomed to his destination.
The fox frowned as he preesed a button on the side of his helmet as a feed from the bikes scanners showed him what he was looking for. "The signature is up ahead, a few moke klicks away."he thought to himself as he hit the gas speeding tword his destionation. As he looked around he could see more and more signs of that there once was civilization crumbling buildings covered with vines and growth. he snorted and moved on.
Still he couldnt belive he actualy agreed to this milk run. The EDF hunter headquaters had picked up strong mystic energies comming from this area of the great forest via satalite. Since its reading seemed to lean tword the more negative side of the spectrum. They thought they needed to investigate, but current treaties kept True EDF forces from the great forest. So they sent someone who had hunter training and wasnt bound by politcal red tape. The bounty hunter Stealth Greyblade. The hunter sighed as he slowed down as the stone creations became more numorus. His eyes looked around as his helmet feed kept him updated. The signature was strong here. He would have to keep his eyes open. The fox slowed his bike to a crawl as he looked around, trying to find the source.

The sun glistened over the rooftops of Westopolis. Psychosis was awake, standing at his normal perch. Deep i nhis meditation, he felt an enourmous spike of energy. "Hmm.. this power.. it's incredible.. I need to find the source of this power.."
He teleported away from the city, to a clearing in the area of the energy spike. He looked around, teleporting through the immediate area, drawing closer and closer to the source. From a tree, he spotted a great stone temple.
"This must be it.. the source.. I sense great danger lurking within." He stood still in the tree, closed his eyes and slipped into a psionic trance. Focusing his power, he projected his avatar inside the temple. In the center hall he saw a great black statue, made of pure carbon, formed in the shape of a demon.
"Strange the energy seems to be coming from inside this statue." His avatar pressed its hand on the statue.. a spike of energy shot through it and back to Psychosis knocking him out of the tree.

A large swirling portal forms outside the Temple of Shadow. From it's nexus step Shae and the Goddess Aurora, who has assumed the form of a wolf, to suit the forest environment.
"My lady, we've arrived early.. it seems Syntaru has yet to send his apprentice.." said Shae.
"Patience, his apprentice will arrive, no doubt to claim the jewel, I sense there are others who have been drawn here.. this will truly be a global affair.." said Aurora
"Indeed, what shall we do my Lady?" asked Shae.
"Hmm.. for now.. let us take in the serene beauty of the forest, for if we are to fail here, its beauty will not last long.."
"This forest reminds me of my old life.. back in Mercia. It also reminds me of Magnus, and his betrayal.. whatever his fate was.. it was too good for the likes of him." said Shae, angrily clenching his fists. "I only wish I could have been the one to take his life.."
"Shae! Such thoughts are not becoming of my Vanguard.. have you learned nothing from me? No matter the misdeed Magnus has done to you, you must forgive him and move on.. do not let the darkness consume you.. snapped Aurora.
"I-I appologize my Lady, I do not know what came over me.. this place.. it's affecting my judgement, I shall not let it again." said Shae, bowing his head to the Goddess.
Meanwhile, in a clearing to the South;
"Commander Gulo.. the temple is to the North of us.. I am detecting several life readings in the area."
"It would seem we aren't the only ones looking for the energy source.. be on guard, use the force necessary for all hostiles, is that understood?" ordered Gulo.
"Sir, yes sir." responded the Swatbots.

An alarm went off as the bikes scanners picked up another large energy source near the one he was scanning for. Stealth quickly flipped back on the feed on his helmets visor, unfortuantly the energy spike was too strong for the bikes sensors to read fully all he could pick up was three more paranormal spikes before one of the spikes shorted out the scanners system causing it to reboot. "The goddess."The hunter cursed in anger as he fliped up the visor. He was blind for the moment all he could go by was that last scanner picture and his instict. Whatever was going on was located near the large stone structure in the clearing ahead. Though at the thought of going there with those spikes he just read he couldnt help but get a cold shiver down his spine. Still though the fox was once a hunter, a mortal trained by the Evergreen Defense Force Hunter Corps devesion to Repel paranormal activites. He could handle himself. The fox sighed as he gunned the engine the whine of the repulsers filling the surouding stone and woods as he zoomed forward.

Kuri woke up from her light sleep inside the crumbling ruins by the sound of a bike passing by. Instantly, the dhole was awake, looking around her in a dazem, seeing someone zoom pass. It was quick work, packing up her meager belongings and the girl started to follow the person on the bike, unknowingly walking into a destiny that could very much easily kill her.

Although plagued with darkness for eyesight, he could tell what was around me. Rocks, walls, ruin....It was an ancient city he had walked upon, his shoes clicking of some of the stones as his walking stick pointed out any undue hazards. It was strange that he would be drawn here, but in his travels had he never felt such a strong pull upon his power. Was it a greater light calling to him, or just his imagination, he could never tell. Still, he couldn't get over the feeling that he was soon going to be in over his head.
Then he picked up a small alarm, tagged along with the soft rumble of a machine.....it was muffled by the rubble, but it seemed to come from his left, slightly in front of him. It seems he wasn't the only one getting these feelings. Pressing onward, he continued on. If this were true, he would run into whoever he heard shortly....

Gulo and his team of SwatBots raced through the thick forests surrounding the temple.. sticking to the shadows as they did. They stopped, just short of the temple grounds.
"HALT!.. it seems we've some unwanted guests.. and more coming." growled the wolverine. "You and you, cover the West, you and you cover the East, and you, stick here with me, we'll cover the South.. we'll observe the situation and wait for our moment to strike.. GO!"
The SwatBots obeyed the orders given, surrounding the temple grounds, readying themselves for further orders. As stealthy as they'd been, their presence was given away to the Goddess and her Vangaurd.
"Hmph, looks like Eggman's forces have arrived.. strange, it's only a small platoon of Swats and a solitary general." said Shae.
"There are still more to arrive.. but they do not concern us, our goal here is to prevent Syntaru from reclaiming the shard inside.. the intentions of the interlopers are irrelevant. said Aurora
"Right, of course my Lady." said Shae.

High above the Mobian surface a tear in the space that holds the Zones together opened. A small speck of blue with a touch of green could be seen if one was close enough to the direct relation of where the being hovered over the globe.
Drooping, the deathog paused, exausted from his meager use of power to travel between zones. Using his idle time to watch the sea, the mountains, and the Great Forest splayed out beneath him like some sort of cool aired three dimensional map.
"No rest for the wicked. . . ."
Slowly but surely Syth oriented on his query, Shae Prime, and started to glide. He was many leagues away but he was in no hurry, what could happen in two hours anyway?
Meanwhile;
A lavishly dressed traveler sauntered up to a solid steel door. Normally this would not be such an odd thing out of mind but there were four problems with the scenario. One, the door belonged to Dr. Eggman, a foolish thing to do knocking on certain doom's door. Two, the door was at the heart of his roboticised empire, many many miles away from the safty of neutral ground and till now was completely undetected traversing the strange technological terran that made up the lifeless city. Third, the traveler was smiling, and not in a toadying beatten way returning to his master.
No, this was a smile of too many teeth. The last and the most distressing being that the traveler was an overlander, a species all but extinct on the Mobian surface and certainly an oddy in place like Robotrolopolis.
A well manicured hand rapped lightly on the portal, a mocking gesture considering the cambots had picked up the warm blood signature the moment he stood infront of the portal. As if waiting for a reply, the man studied the back of his hands, noting a scuff on one nail.
He had all the time in the world. . .

"Uhm.. Doctor? It would appear that there's.. someone at the front door..."
Eggman perked up in disbelief.
"Hmm? Impossible.. what kind of simple minded fool would come knocking on the door of the world's greatest scientist and most dangerous militant?" said Eggman.
"Apparently, one wearing rather expensive clothing.. and knocking at our front door."
Eggman snarled at the robot's snappy retort
"One more smart alec quip like that from you and I'll re-arrange your circuits.. now put this.. visitor.. up on the video monitor and connect the line to the door screen." barked the Doctor.
"*ulp* Yes sir"
The monitor displayed the fanciful intruder, eyballing his hand. Eggman snarled and pressed the intercom button.
"Listen here, whatever it is you're selling I'm not interested.. now go away and pester some other evil genius, this one's busy." said Eggman "If you can find another, that is."

The speeder weaved through the ruins, the engines sounding through the ruins, all the while the fox kept on hand on the controls while the other tried to reboot his scanning system. The crash had infuriated him and made him warey. He had yet to get his scanners up when he zoomed int othe clearing, but it was at that moment that the sytem finaly succeeded and alert of robotic lifeforms sounded through the headsup display on his helemet. He his the brakes and scrreched to a halt spinning around due to the friction of his stop, creating a large dfustcloud as his momentum carried the braking bike closer to the temple. Dust filled the air as stealth finaly got the bike to stop. He glanced around warily, praying it was just a glitch in the systems, if it wasnt then an EDF vehical probably woundnt get a warm welcome.

"Commander Gulo, we've detected a vehicle signature. It's an EDF"
Gulo clicked his radio.
"Ignore it." said Gulo. "Maintain radio silence until I give the order."
"Yes sir, sorry sir."
Meaniwhile, Shae was growing impatient..
"Forgive me for saying so my Lady, but I simply cannot stand here anymore, waiting for Syntaru's forces to arrive.. please, allow me to survey the area.." pleaded Shae.
The Goddess looked at him, smiled, and shook her head.
"My dear Shae, you must learn the virtue of patience.. however there is one thing you can do." said the Goddess "Just through those trees is a fallen Templar, recover him and bring him here to me."
"Yes, my Lady." said Shae.
He walked away from the temple entrance and into the tree line, searching fo rthe fallen Templar.

The fox waited in silence till the dust cleared. So far so good mabey the scanner had been buggy, he couldnt see any sort of trouble through the haze. He sighed and removed his helmet with a sigh, shaking his head a bit, letting his strange white bangs fall over his eyes . He turned off the bike and removed the activation plug, just in case. He glanced around as the dust settled. He couldnt help but whistle at the site, ruins surpounding a large temple almost claimed by wilderness, being raised in a city made him apreciate such beuty, even if his instincts kept nagging him. Still he ingored them as he took a satalite comm unit from the bikes saddle bags. "Hunter here,"he called after dialing in hunter HQ. "Im at the source of the mytic energy sig that are tactatacle satalites picked up. It seems to be stored in the old ruins in the great forrest, if fact the energy seems to be radaiting from a large temple. It brings cold shivers down my spine, but Im going in and Ilkl be using hunter retrival protacol like it said in my contract. Retrieve the source of energy or bring a large enough sample for the scilab boys to tear it apart and find a way to neutralize it. Im going in, Hunter out."he said hooking the comm device to his belt and took out one of his pistols, salpping the magazine and clicking it off of saftey. He couldnt be too carefull as he walked to the temples entrance.
